I’ve worked in Radio in the past and unfortunately one thing my former employers jumped on too late was the web. Which is funny because the writing was on the wall back then (2001-2002) and now in 2009 it’s a reality (read: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/31410117/ns/technology_and_science-tech_and_gadgets/). It’s finally come where the web is the #1 source of information. The medium changed but I am interested in seeing how the message changes along with.

Increasing convergence of internet applications excelerates the speed in which we use and view content on the internet; its only going to get better.

Considering the amount of money capital bankers, fund managers and public companies deal with it would be foolish for them not to take advantage of social media phenomenon. Frankly, I am surprised that have not already accepted the realities of todays world. The internet is very important for commerce and will one day be the most important for doing business.

I was at the show and had a chance to catch your presentation. I was a little apprehensive about signing up for twitter at first, but after hearing you describe the power of twitter and the relative ease of signing up, i’m now proud to say i’ve made my first tweet! Thanks George!

Great presentation George. The power of social media and web 2.0 is so vast it’s a shame that most people in high places never utilize it or even worse never even hear of it.
