Congratulations President-Elect Obama. The World Is Behind You. Make Us Proud

Posted by AGORACOM at 12:43 AM on Wednesday, November 5th, 2008

The time has come to put aside our politics and unite behind the new leader of the free world.  I have no doubt Senator John McCain would have been a good leader…. but I have no doubt that President-Elect Barack Obama will be an excellent leader, the leader the United States and the entire planet needed at this point in time.

Congratulations.  Good luck.  Make us proud.  Make us believe again.  The entire planet is behind you.

I’m going to sleep and, for the first time in a long time, looking forward to waking up to a new era.

Regards,
George

Futures ($DJIA) Turn Sharply And Go Green At 10:15 PM.

Posted by AGORACOM at 10:50 PM on Tuesday, November 4th, 2008

Compare these numbers with futures action (below) until this point.  This is a sharp turnaround and coincides with certainty that Obama and the Democrats are about to sweep.  Let’s hope this is the beginning of good things to come.

Futures ($DJIA) As Of 9:30 PM Are Yawning To Obama Lead

Posted by AGORACOM at 10:14 PM on Tuesday, November 4th, 2008

As of 9:30 PM, markets are shrugging off the fact that Obama has all but locked down the election.  Did we already have our Obama rally, or is the market making sure it doesn’t get “2004’d” with a last second Republican win?

Futures ($DJI, $IXIC, $GSPC) Moving Slightly Lower As Of 8:15 PM

Posted by AGORACOM at 8:39 PM on Tuesday, November 4th, 2008

Futures have moved slightly lower since 6:00. So far, no “Obama” effect on futures even as electoral votes show Obama convincingly ahead.  Still early and we’re still monitoring.

George

Financial Post: AGORACOM Is The Site Retail Investors Famously Use To Fight Takeovers.

Good evening, folks.  This story was originally posted by the Financial Post on the morning of October 27th in anticipation of the Noront Resources AGM proxy showdown – but seems to have been replaced by this story using the same URL.  This was probably done after the surprise “compromise” announcement on the very same morning.

Fortunately, I was able to pick up the cached version.  I don’t know how long Google caches an article, so I’ve grabbed an image of the salient excerpt:

Cool. Thanks to Peter Koven for the great words.  Here are my posts on the Noront Battle and the Aurelian Battle.
