Sonomax Hearing Healthcare (TSX VENTURE:SHH):

Alcan Europe Adopts Hearing Protection Solutions From Sonomax to be Used by Alcan’s Workers Across Europe

After three years of assessment of available industrial hearing protection solutions, the European division of Alcan Inc. (“Alcan”) has opted to equip its industrial workers with hearing protectors from Sonomax

Alcan’s European operations comprise some 15,000 employees, up to 9,000 of whom are workers exposed to potentially toxic levels of sound. Alcan’s agreement with AUDILIVE calls for the initial fitting of several thousand workers with Sonomax hearing protection.

Mr. Jerry Rim, Alcan’s lead buyer for Europe and Africa commented, “The ease of fitting and speed of execution, as well as the instant delivery and confirmation of performance with SonoPass software, guarantee each of our employees a customized level of attenuation. Those are very attractive features. However, what put the final stamp on my decision is the fact that my Canadian colleagues who use “the Sonomax Solution” have had nothing but high praise for the technology.”

“Alcan’s workers in Europe are located throughout the continent, making this agreement an important one in terms of demonstrating the effectiveness of our technology in a variety of industrial workplaces” said Nick Laperle, President of Sonomax. “Furthermore, Alcan’s adoption of our hearing protection technology serves to confirm that The Sonomax SolutionTM represents the state-of-the-art. Following a similar agreement with industrial giant Rio Tinto, the news is quickly spreading about the quality of our solution. We anticipate considerable additional growth among industrial companies as a result of these benchmark transactions.”
