Lomiko Announces Discovery of 23 New High Priority Magnetic Anomalies at Quatre Milles Flake Graphite Property

Posted by AGORACOM-JC at 9:13 AM on Monday, July 14th, 2014

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA–(Jul 14, 2014) – LOMIKO METALS INC. (TSX VENTURE:LMR)(PINKSHEETS:LMRMF)(FRANKFURT:DH8B) (the “Company”) reports Consul-Teck of Val-d’Or and consulting firm Dubé & Desaulniers conducted a combined Magnetic and Very Low Frequency Electro-Magnetic (VLF-EM) survey on the West Block of the Quatre Milles Project for a total of 209.6 linear km. The survey is part of an extensive and comprehensive exploration plan at Quatre Milles for the 2014 season.

The goal of the program is to identify high grade, near surface graphite mineralization suitable for conversion to battery-grade graphite. The graphite industry could see exponential growth based on new demand for lithium-ion batteries which use 10 to 15 times as much graphite as lithium.

Telsa Motor Cars announced, “As we at Tesla reach for our goal of producing a mass market electric car in approximately three years, we have an opportunity to leverage our projected demand for lithium ion batteries to reduce their cost faster than previously thought possible.”

Lomiko is also an investor in Graphene 3D Lab as of November 22, 2013 which aims to pioneer the manufacturing of electronic devices using graphene 3D printing filament and graphene printers. Currently, there are 11,000 patented or patent-pending graphene technologies which will require graphene material. Large companies such as General Electric, Lockheed-Martin and Samsung have confirmed their interest in Graphene uses. The graphite industry may see increased demand as a base material for the production of graphene. Lomiko will be able to participate in this new demand due to initial test results September 17, 2013 indicating graphite from Quatre Milles was converted to graphene oxide.

Previously reported drill results at Quatre Milles indicate extensive mineralization in the region. The Quatre Milles Project NI 43-101 Technical Report with all Phase I and historical drill hole results is available on the Lomiko web site. On March 13, 2014, Lomiko closed a financing for $ 5.5 million for the purposes of advancing the Quatre Milles Property and investing in technology.

In total, 88 VLF-EM conductors axis were identified. Of those, 23 new conductors are prioritized for further review. Conductors that are associated to magnetic anomalies are likely caused by pyrrhotite rich sulphide occurrences. However, most of the conductors do not show correlation with the magnetic signal and the strongest VLF-EM anomalies are thus possibly caused by graphite mineralization.

Lomiko will initially investigate the outlined anomalies by basic prospecting methods and follow-up with drilling at identified graphite zones. Strong magnetic anomalies that are not responding to the VLF-EM method also deserve further investigation. Sources identified as promising for mineralization discoveries could then be the object of resistivity/IP surveys that can be efficiently used to penetrate the ground at further depth and better image the geometry of conductive and chargeable sources.

Municipal Approval for Lexaria-Enertopia Joint Venture in Burlington, Ontario

Posted by AGORACOM-JC at 7:34 AM on Monday, July 14th, 2014

Kelowna, British Columbia–(Newsfile Corp. – July 14, 2014) – Lexaria Corp. (OTCQB: LXRP) (CSE: LXX) (the “Company” or “Lexaria“) is pleased to announce that the production of Medical Marihuana in compliance with Health Canada MMPR regulations has received final Municipal zoning approval for the Lexaria/Enertopia joint venture. Previously announced only as being located in the Greater Toronto Area, now that Municipal approval has been obtained Lexaria is happy to announce the facility location as Burlington, Ontario.

The evaluation procedures of the City of Burlington were followed, including presentations made to city officials and opportunities for public feedback and input. Lexaria is pleased that the City of Burlington showed community leadership and vision in implementing a thoughtful series of rules for the cultivation of medical marijuana in accordance with Federal Health Canada regulations.

“Approval by the City of Burlington for a medical marijuana production facility is an important step in the journey towards our goal of obtaining a license under Health Canada’s MMPR program and becoming a leader in the industry,” said Chris Bunka, CEO of Lexaria Corp.

Now that the City of Burlington has passed a bylaw permitting medical marijuana production facilities, Lexaria expects that the joint venture license application to Health Canada will be submitted soon.

The bylaw approving the medical marijuana facility zoning was passed by Burlington officials on June 9th, and the period of time when appeals were allowed to be heard expired on July 9, 2014. Notice of passing of the Bylaw was provided on July 10, and at this time the bylaw is in existence.

The Lexaria/Enertopia joint venture, as previously reported, is for a building of approx 30,000 sq ft for first phase design, with a right of first refusal obtained for approx another 45,000 sq ft. Since the original announcement of this facility on April 10, 2014, a great deal of progress has been made regarding the state of the art design concepts expected to be implemented.

The joint venture has engaged David Hyde & Associates for security design and implementation. David Hyde & Associates is a full service security management and business risk consulting and training practice that offers independent, high quality advisory services underpinned by real-world security and risk management experience. David Hyde & Associates, widely acknowledged as one of Canada’s leading security experts, has previously been a security consultant to another existing company that has already received their license under the MMPR program.

The joint venture has also engaged KNY Architects Inc, a design and planning firm headquartered in Burlington that has been in business for over 55 years. They have completed hundreds of projects across Canada, USA, and the Ukraine.

A total of 880,000 restricted common shares will be issued to a number of persons in accordance with previously entered agreements, upon reaching the municipal approval milestone. The securities issued will be subject to a hold period in Canada of four months and one day, or for any resales possible into the USA under Rule 144, six months and one day.

The securities referred to herein will not be or have not been registered under the United States Securities Act of 1933, as amended, and may not be offered or sold in the United States absent registration or an applicable exemption from registration requirements.

Separately, Lexaria has accepted the resignation of Chris Hornung as Assistant Operations Manager.

AGORACOM Small Cap TV “Best Of The Best” Stock Picks Of The Week – July 12, 2014

Posted by AGORACOM-JC at 8:58 PM on Saturday, July 12th, 2014

AGORACOM Founder, George Tsiolis and Chief Market Commentator, Allan Barry Go Via Satellite to discuss and debate Allan’s Best picks this week. Companies Included on this week’s show are:

WHY IS JULY 11, 2013 SO IMPORTANT?

Allan and George have already put their viewers well ahead of the game by starting their weekly broadcasts on July 11, 2013 on the thesis that great small-cap companies were so oversold they could not be ignored. One look at the TSX Venture Index proves they hit the nail on the head … but that doesn’t come close to telling the whole story with most of their picks far outperforming an index bloated with zombie companies.

THEN THEY DID IT AGAIN AT TAX LOSS SELLING SEASON

When the first run from July 11 ran its course, small cap investors made the mistake of thinking small caps had run their course.  George and Allan knew better and they geared up for run #2, airing this special episode on December 18 where they each made their top 6 picks for the next 45 days ending January 31st … the results were again outstanding:

Robix Provides Update on COV Construction

Posted by AGORACOM-JC at 6:41 AM on Tuesday, July 8th, 2014

LETHBRIDGE, ALBERTA–(July 8, 2014) – Robix Alternative Fuels Inc. (“Robix” or the “Corporation”) (CSE:RZX)(FRANKFURT:R0X) announced today that the construction of the first commercial Clean Ocean Vessel (COV) is progressing as planned. Long lead items are being received and construction of the COV unit is scheduled to begin this month at Rayco Steel Ltd, of Sparwood, British Columbia, following final approval of engineering and construction drawings. A detailed construction progress report is expected in August 2014, with testing and commissioning of the COV anticipated in Q3 of 2014.

The first 40 ft COV prototype was built, by previous owners of the technology in the 1990s, in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, USA and tested in Leonardo, New Jersey, USA. Since acquiring the COV technology, Robix has designed state of the art hydraulics and electronics systems, which will be installed on the COV unit currently under construction. The new systems will allow the COV to perform more efficiently with less potential future maintenance issues.

Robix is also pleased to provide an update on its sales and marketing efforts. The sales and marketing team, led by Mr. Dale Oleksyn, is currently in discussions with a number of end users which have pre-existing relationships with the Company. These discussions are progressing well and certain end users have been identified and prioritized for COV demonstration and testing once the first unit is deployed. A more aggressive marketing campaign is scheduled to begin following deployment of the first commercial COV unit in the fall of 2014.

Robix holds a patent covering its unique COV technology. The COV is an ocean vessel, catamaran-hull barge design, capable of recovering oil from water in virtually any conditions; especially in rough seas (the 40 Foot COV is stable in conditions as severe as Beaufort 6, or equivalent to 8 foot ocean waves).

In addition, subject to regulatory approval, Robix has issued 160,000 options at $0.64 per share to consultants to the Company.

About Robix:

The Corporation is an “industrial products/technology” company, offering to investors a unique opportunity to participate in a leading company in the business of ownership of patents, and their development from commercialization to worldwide expansion through various business arrangements. Robix owns a Clean Ocean Vessel (“COV”) patent, which is an oil spill recovery vessel design with the capability to recover oil in rough and debris laden sea conditions. Robix has recognized a worldwide market opportunity for effective containment, recovery and disposal equipment, particularly in the oil spill protection industry, and it proposes to develop a business model as a service provider, and/or equipment provider under licensing agreements with other industry participants, wherein Robix will use its COV patented design solution.
