Welcome to the Richmond Hill U9 Black Panthers blog! Â This blog is strictly meant for players and parents of U9 Black Panthers to check schedules, locations and scores.
It also provides all players and parents with an ability to communicate with each other by simply posting comments at the bottom of this post. Â Players can communicate tips and strategies with each other, while parents can coordinate snack schedules, notifications of missed games and other helpful items.
Naturally, I will expect all conversations to be fun and helpful as we enjoy a great season of soccer and laughs together.
SCHEDULE / SCORES / SNACKS
I am happy to provide you with a complete schedule of games, dates and locations right through to July 13. We now have the remainder of the schedule, so I will be posting it. You will note that “Field” contains hyper links.  These are Google Map locations for each field to help you find the locations and directions to each field.
The scores have been updated right up to our great 6 – 1 win last week!
Thanks to the great work of Mary Cespite (Tristin’s Mom) we also have the snack schedule done. As I add the additional games, I will also add the snack parents for each week.

POST – GAME COMMENTS – August 3rd Loss 3 – 2
This one will be remembered for the toughness our team showed by playing in the rain for the entire game. Â None of the players complained and when the game started, everyone played as hard as they could.
We got down 2-0 early in the game but worked very hard to get back to just a 1 goal deficit with a few minutes left to play. Â Alas, despite great efforts from everybody, we could not tie the game and we went down 3-2.
The team was happy to welcome back Shota after his trip to Japan and special thanks to Adrian for playing goalie in the 2nd Half and giving Georgie a chance to play forward. Â Georgie made a couple of great saves in the first half, including a hard shot off his chest from lethal #7! Â BUT save of the game went to Adrian who jumped up to deflect another blast from #7 over the cross bar!
Christopher scored our 2nd goal to make it 3-2 … but Green scored on their own net to give us our first goal and there is some “controversy” 🙂 amongst our forwards as to who touched it last to take the credit. Â We’ll have to just chalk it up to a team goal!
I want to finally point out the fact that our defense played superbly today. Â They have really come a long way and our now doing a great job of:
- Attacking opposing players that try to enter our zone
- Kicking the ball back into the offensive zone to keep the pressure on the other team

NEXT WEEK – ORANGE!
We beat them 9-1 in our opening game … but then got smacked down 4-1 in the re-match, so this game decides the season series. Â Bring it Panthers!!
