  • Announce its R&D Department has completed development of its In-Flight System Aided Medical Monitoring system
  • Utilizing Star’s patented STAR-A.D.S. ® System, STAR-ISAMM™ directly addresses the need to improve the in-flight transmission to a hospital of medical data concerning an on-board emergency patient

TORONTO, June 04, 2018 – Star Navigation Systems Group Ltd. (CSE:SNA) (CSE:SNA.CN) (OTCQB:SNAVF) (“Star” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce that its R&D Department has completed development of its In-Flight System Aided Medical Monitoring system (“STAR-ISAMM™â€). Utilizing Star’s patented STAR-A.D.S. ® System, (an on-board, real-time flight data monitoring and tracking system), STAR-ISAMM™ directly addresses the need to improve the in-flight transmission to a hospital of medical data concerning an on-board emergency patient.

The STAR-ISAMM™ system interfaces with existing bio-medical equipment aboard the MEDEVAC helicopter. It securely transmits the patients’ vital signs and other critical information directly to receiving hospital physicians through SATCOM or GSM, as well as providing tracking and location of the vehicle. This allows the early assessment and initiation of the best possible care plan, well before the patient arrives. While the most obvious application is to Helicopter Emergency Medical Services, the System is equally adaptable to both ambulance and commercial airline usage.

In response to discussions with the Emergency Medical Service industry, Star’s R&D Department has been working on this project for several years. Recent breakthroughs in Star’s technology have led to today’s announcement.

The STAR-ISAMM™ prototype has already been demonstrated and Star expects that this will significantly enhance:

  • Interfacing with EMS, in the air and on the ground, improving on scene care and care in transit.
  • Providing better patient care with a seamless hospital virtual environment. The patient will be already ‘admitted’ to the hospital care service while being transported.

Star intends to start fielding the STAR-ISAMM™ system this year, starting with the helicopter EMS segment.

Star’s R&D department will continue to rapidly develop the system, with the addition of new features through technological evolution.

Star Navigation $SNA.ca Remembers MH370

Posted by AGORACOM-JC at 10:00 AM on Thursday, March 8th, 2018

  • March 8th will mark four years since the disappearance of MH370
  • Aircraft, a Boeing 777-200ER with 239 souls onboard, operated by Malaysia Airlines, was one of the most modern aircraft flying at the time and was en-route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing

TORONTO, March 08, 2018 – Star Navigation Systems Group Ltd. (CSE:SNA) (OTCQB:SNAVF) (CSE:SNA.CN) (“Star” or the “Company”).

March 8th will mark four years since the disappearance of MH370. The aircraft, a Boeing 777-200ER with 239 souls onboard, operated by Malaysia Airlines, was one of the most modern aircraft flying at the time and was en-route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing.

The aircraft disappeared after apparently veering away from its flight path and no one has yet been able to explain what happened or where the Boeing ended its flight. There have been theories and speculation on what happened, but none have been substantiated to date.

The official search, conducted by Malaysia, Australia and China over a period of almost 3 years, was finally called off. Scattered pieces of aircraft debris have been found scattered far away from the initial search zone of 120,000 Sq. Km. A new extended search zone of more than 25,000 sq km, will soon be searched by a private company.

Following the loss of MH370, as well as, Air France flight AF447 in 2009, Star worked with several regulatory Authorities, including the French BEA and the ad-hoc aviation working-groups from the ITU and ICAO, on developing connectivity, advanced tracking and data safe retrieval.

INDUSTRY FAILURE TO IMPLEMENT TRACKING PROVISIONS

Star successfully demonstrated its ability to track and monitor aircraft, even in remote and trans-oceanic areas.  In March, 2016, the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) adopted new aircraft tracking provisions designed to gradually take effect by 2021. These provisions include a requirement that aircraft carry a device that can autonomously transmit its location every minute during emergency circumstances, as well as enhancing the ability to recover and make available aircraft recorded data in a timely manner.

Unfortunately, as of this solemn anniversary, the commercial aerospace industry has yet to implement  aircraft tracking technology  that would provide operators, authorities and the public the means necessary to both track the route followed by distressed  aircraft and the health of its critical systems and to effect a prompt rescue or recovery.

STAR NAVIGATION STANDS READY TO DELIVER

Star Navigation stands ready to deliver its patented technology solution now. Star has proven its ability to provide immediate location information of any aircraft in the world  and critical data  with respect to events aboard the aircraft prior to an incident.

The Star solution is independent from the crew and tamper proof. Information transfer is via satellite, encrypted and secure.

The Star solution is not only affordable, it provides significant ROI through savings generated by features ranging from stricter fuel management to more effective preventive maintenance.

The families of the MH370 passengers and crew and future families who are destined to suffer the same fate and anguish until solutions are implemented, deserve more. It is our hope and mission that the human cost of tragedies such as MH370 will be mitigated through the use of currently available technology.

Star Navigation Systems $SNA.ca Appoints Salwan Aviation Group As Exclusive Distributor For #India – Opens Office In New Delhi

Posted by AGORACOM-JC at 11:57 AM on Thursday, March 1st, 2018

Sna

  • Announced the appointment of Salwan Aviation Group as its sole and exclusive Distributor in India for all Star products;
  • As well as the opening of a Star office in New Delhi to provide technical, engineering and sales support
  • Agreement provides for an initial term of one year

TORONTO, March 01, 2018 – Star Navigation Systems Group Ltd. (CSE:SNA) (CSE:SNA.CN) (OTCQB:SNAVF) (“Star” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Salwan Aviation Group as its sole and exclusive Distributor in India for all Star products, as well as the opening of a Star office in New Delhi to provide technical, engineering and sales support. The Salwan agreement provides for an initial term of one (1) year, renewable upon the achievement of sales targets.

The decision to create this partnership with Salwan Aviation and commit resources to India was driven by two important industry reports issued in the fourth quarter of 2017 as follows;

INTERNATIONAL AIR TRANSPORT ASSOCIATION (IATA) REPORT PROJECTS SUBSTANTIAL GROWTH OF INDIAN AVIATION MARKET

A report published by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) in October 2017 concluded the following:

1.  India will become the third largest aviation market in the world by 2025.

2.  Indian airlines have over 800 planes on order and in the next five years are set to add 350-400 aircraft. Currently, all Indian airlines put together have a fleet of approximately 500 aircraft.

3.  By 2036, India air passenger traffic will reach 478 million, surpassing air passenger traffic of Japan and Germany combined.  Current India air passenger traffic totals 114 million.

CENTRE FOR ASIA PACIFIC AVIATION (CAPA) REPORT PROJECTS SUBSTANTIAL JOB GROWTH WITHIN INDIAN AVIATION INDUSTRY

A report published by the Centre For Asia Pacific Aviation (CAPA) in November 2017 concluded the following:

1.  By 2027, India’s aviation market will generate close to 2.6 million direct and indirect jobs.

2.  By 2027, India will need 16,800 pilots compared to the current total of 6,772 pilots.

3.  By 2027, growth in cabin crew jobs will increase from the current 11,000 to 26,325.

4.  By 2027, growth in maintenance engineers will increase from the current 14,420 to 34,972.

Viraf Kapadia, Chairman &CEO said: “The growth figures for aviation in India are massive and irrefutable after reading these reports.  However, we believe this level of growth in aircraft, pilots and maintenance engineers will also pose safety and security challenges that will require the assistance of leading products and solutions from Star Navigation. Moreover, the ROI of our solutions will help these airlines reduce costs and run more efficiently in what is bound to be a very competitive market. The appointment of Salwan Aviation will ensure that Star will be part of those conversations from the very beginning.”

SALWAN AVIATION

Salwan Aviation is the newly formed division of Salwan Group, a company that has experienced great success in India across multiple industries for more than 30 years.  The company’s proven management team and extensive network will be invaluable to introducing Star to India’s airline industry. Salwan Group will utilize Stars’ registered Indian patent #209558 to meet their marketing and sales objectives.

Amit Salwan, Executive Director of Salwan Aviation Group stated “We are deeply honored to be appointed exclusive distributor in India for Star Navigation. We have been aware of Star’s efforts in India since 2008 with recommendations for their technology by India’s DGCA. India will be one of the fastest growing aviation markets in the world expecting an additional 800 additional aircraft in the next 5 years. We have positioned our company to be a key player in India’s aviation industry by retrofitting aircraft with Star’s leading technology.”
