American Creek Reports That JV Partner Tudor Gold Confirmed the Presence of a Substantial New Gold Zone at the Treaty Creek Project, Golden Triangle $AMK.ca $TUE.ca $SEA.ca

Posted by AGORACOM at 9:17 AM on Friday, February 1st, 2019
  • JV partner Tudor Gold announced the designation of a new gold zone at Treaty Creek which has been named “Goldstorm”
  • The mineralization encountered to the northeast of Copper Belle has different characteristics, configuration and geometry.
  • “Goldstorm is a much larger system than Copper Belle at 300m wide and extends vertically for over 700m
  • Gold appears to be continuing towards the northeast and southeast and clearly becomes stronger in the northernmost hole, CB18-39 which returned 563.8 meters of 0.981 grams per tonne gold

Cardston, Alberta–(Newsfile Corp. – February 1, 2019) – American Creek Resources Ltd. (TSXV: AMK) (“the Corporation”) today reports that JV partner Tudor Gold announced the designation of a new gold zone at Treaty Creek which has been named “Goldstorm”. It was previously thought that gold mineralization identified by drilling northeast of the Copper Belle Zone was simply a northeast extension of that same zone, but after evaluating drill hole data from holes completed in 2016, 2017 and 2018, it appears that the mineralization encountered to the northeast of Copper Belle has different characteristics, configuration and geometry. While it is unclear whether the zones are genetically linked, these zones are physically separate. The surface drill hole location map at the end of this news release shows the location of both gold zones.

Tudor Gold Exploration Manager, Ken Konkin explains: “Goldstorm is a much larger system than Copper Belle, it is at least 300m wide and extends vertically for over 700m. The zone has been traced for approximately 500 meters along a northeastern azimuth. Gold mineralization appears to be continuing towards the northeast and southeast and clearly becomes stronger in the northernmost hole, CB18-39 which returned 563.8 meters of 0.981 grams per tonne gold. The upper portion of CB18-39 averaged 1.141 gpt gold over 280.5 meters and a lower zone in the same hole averaged 1.154 grams per tonne gold over 156 meters. This hole bottomed in mineralization and we will look at the option of re-entering the hole this year in attempts to extend the mineralization deeper. But the primary focus will be to extend the Goldstorm Zone along strike to the northeast and to the southeast as well.

Over the coming months, we hope to gain a better understanding of aspects that control gold mineralization. Re-examination of drill hole information has revealed the presence of a northwest dipping thrust fault that appears to define the upper contact of the Goldstorm system. The relationship of this fault to the formation of the mineral zone is an aspect of further study, as are the various styles of sulphide mineralization, silicification and alteration. Compilation and evaluation of this data will help in planning for the drilling campaign to be undertaken in the up-coming exploration season.”

The following table gives gold composite values over broad intervals from four drill hole sections that cut the Goldstorm Zone, incorporating results from diamond drill holes completed during 2016, 2017 and 2018. Low-grade gold mineralization occurs as a broad envelope which contains a horizon of stronger gold mineralization in the upper portion of the system. Furthermore, the drill hole sections demonstrate what appears to be the presence of a second, lower gold horizon. The corresponding sections 108+00 NE, 109+00 NE, 110+00 NE and 111+00 NE are displayed at the end of this news release.

  • Final hole (CB-18-39) of the 2018 exploration season, was a 90 m step-out to the north of the Copper Belle Zone
  • Intersected 0.981 g/t gold over 563.8m, including 1.15 g/t gold over 234 m and 1.72 g/t gold over 55.5m
  • Widest and most strongly mineralized interval of the 69 holes that have been drilled within the zone

Cardston, Alberta–(Newsfile Corp. – November 26, 2018) –  American Creek Resources Ltd. (TSXV: AMK) (“American Creek”) (“the Corporation”) is pleased to report that the final hole (CB-18-39) of the 2018 exploration season, a 90 m step-out to the north of the Copper Belle Zone, intersected 0.981 g/t gold over 563.8 meters including 1.15 g/t gold over 234 m and 1.72 g/t gold over 55.5m and bottomed in mineralization. This is the widest and most strongly mineralized interval seen to date of the 69 holes that have been drilled within the zone, and more importantly, suggests potentially greater widths of mineralization continuing to the north and northeast. This new extension will be a prime target for follow-up drilling in 2019.

Hole CB-18-39 is one of the three holes reported here that were part of the nine-hole 2018 drill program on the Copper Belle zone of the Company’s Treaty Creek property, in the “Golden Triangle” area of north-western BC (see map below). The Treaty Creek property is adjacent to and part of the same large hydrothermal system as Seabridge’s KSM property and Pretivm’s Brucejack / Snowfield property. Results of core sampling have now been received for all of the nine holes completed. The first six holes were reported in the August 24 and October 30 news releases.

Walter Storm, President and CEO, stated: “This very positive intersection in the final hole of the year at Treaty Creek exhibits particularly strong gold values for a porphyry-style deposit. It is certainly the best result to date at Copper Belle – in terms of grade x length – being some 50% longer than the previous longest intersection. We drilled 9 deep holes in 2018, testing a large area with a wide-spaced drill pattern, a program which has expanded the Copper Belle zone to the north and northwest; discovering broad intercepts of gold mineralization adjacent to similar wide intercepts reported in 2017. The target next year will be more drilling north and northeast of Hole CB-18-39, expanding on the significant grade and scale of the gold mineralization encountered.”

* All assay values are uncut and intervals reflect drilled intercept lengths.
* True widths of the mineralization have not been determined.

CB-18-39 intersected mineralization from a depth of 141.5 m to the end of the hole at 705.3 m, averaging 0.981 g/t Au over 563.8 m. The hole also contained higher grade sections, such as 1.719 g/t Au, with 10.4 g/t Ag, over 55.5 m and, significantly, the hole ended in mineralization, grading 0.673 g/t Au over 38.8 m, indicating potential for continuing mineralization at depth.

CB-18-39 was drilled northwesterly at an angle of -72 degrees. The host volcaniclastic rocks are typically chlorite, sericite and locally potassically altered, however the more strongly mineralized intervals exhibit increased pyrite and stronger silicification than surrounding rocks. This hole also displayed more chalcopyrite than was observed in previous holes. This may indicate that copper grades could be increasing to the north. Silver values were also higher on average in hole CB-18-39, with sections such as 10.4 g/t Ag over 55.5 m from 569.0 m to 624.5 m.

Hole CB-18-39 is the northernmost hole drilled to date and has extended the length of the Copper Belle Zone approximately 90 m northeast from CB-18-37B, to a total known length of 1200 m. Hole CB-18-38; a fill-in hole in the east part of the drill grid, returned wide intercepts of gold mineralization similar to nearby previously drilled holes. Hole CB-18-36 was drilled at the west edge of the drill grid and gold-bearing intervals in this hole indicate that the zone continues at depth in that direction. Gold, silver and copper results for holes CB-18-38 and CB-18-36 are summarized in the table below.

* True widths of the mineralization have not been determined.

CB-18-38 was a fill-in hole located approximately 60 m and 140 m from the adjacent holes (see map below), providing important information about the width, grade and continuity of the Copper Belle Zone in this area. It was drilled to the northwest at an angle of -72 degrees, parallel to the adjacent holes, and returned three broad intervals of gold mineralization; 0.514 g/t Au over 75.0 m, 0.545 g/t Au over 146.5 m and 0.659 g/t Au over 169.5 m. Additional narrower intervals included 0.561 g/t Au over 19.5 m, as well as 0.540 g/t Au over 12.0 m, which extended to the end of the hole indicating that mineralization probably continues at depth.

The gold mineralized intervals in CB-18-38 are primarily hosted by andesitic tuff and fragmental rocks that are moderately silicified, with chloritic, sericitic and potassic alteration, and are cut by abundant fine pyrite veins and later quartz-carbonate veins. Pyrite content averages about 5%, occurring as fine veins, disseminations and local coarse masses in the host rocks. Gold occurs primarily within the pyritic intervals, as well as within later quartz veins, along with rare chalcopyrite, galena and sphalerite.

CB-18-36 was located at the west edge of the drill grid, and oriented to the northwest at an angle of -72 degrees. It intersected a wide zone of faulting and brecciation that has undergone sericite alteration, with overprinted strong silicification and abundant pyrite. This fault zone, plus underlying brecciated volcanic rocks, is mineralized over a drilled length of more than 140 m, and contains a more strongly mineralized gold zone averaging 0.760 g/t Au over a thickness of 46.5 m. Later quartz-carbonate veins containing pyrite, with lesser galena and sphalerite may also contribute to the gold grades.

The nine holes drilled in 2018 covered an area measuring approximately 370 meters by 250 meters, to depths ranging from 600 to 900 meters. This area is located to the north and west of the area for which the company reported a range of 1.8 to 1.9 million ounces contained within 50 to 45 million tonnes grading 1.12 to 1.35 g/t Au determined from the drill results prior to 2018.

The most recent drilling has now extended the known length of the porphyry-style mineralized system for over 1200 meters. For locations of the 2018 and other holes in the Copper Belle area please view the map below. The Copper Belle zone has an elongate north-northeast trend, dipping at a relatively flat angle to the northwest. Mineralization appears to be related to an extensive north-northeast trending tectonic zone that may be part of the extensive Sulphurets Thrust Fault structure that also traverses the KSM property to the south.

The objective of the 2018 drill program was to better define the extent of the Copper Belle zone. The results from the 2018 holes have provided additional information about continuity and grade of mineralization that, along with the previous drill results, will be integral for a resource calculation.

Darren Blaney, CEO of American Creek stated: “Drilling has continued to show long intervals of one-gram gold including lenses of higher grade within. The mineralization is open at depth and to the north-north east just as indicated by the geophysics, which also indicates that we’re only scratching the surface of highly prospective areas on Treaty Creek. What has been rewarding is that the geology and geophysics, both similar to Seabridge’s KSM and Pretivm’s Snowfield, have been used together to guide the drill to such exceptional results.”

  • The price of gold is expected to rise to $1,532 an ounce by October next year, delegates to the London Bullion Market Association’s annual gathering predicted on Tuesday
  • A poll of delegates at the LBMA conference in Boston also predicted higher prices in a year’s time for silver, platinum and palladium.

BOSTON, Oct 30 (Reuters) – The price of gold is expected to rise to $1,532 an ounce by October next year, delegates to the London Bullion Market Association’s annual gathering predicted on Tuesday.

A poll of delegates at the LBMA conference in Boston also predicted higher prices in a year’s time for silver, platinum and palladium.

Spot gold has had a difficult few months, falling from a high of $1,366.07 in January to as low as $1,159.96 in August as the dollar strengthened and the U.S. Federal Reserve pushed ahead with interest rate rises.

But it has since clawed back to around $1,225 an ounce as volatility on global stock markets revived interest in bullion as a safe place to store assets.

A stronger dollar hurts gold prices by making it more expensive for buyers with other currencies. Higher interest rates make gold, which offers no yield, less attractive.

The poll also showed that delegates expect silver prices to rise to $15 an ounce by the end of October 2019 from around $14.50 on Tuesday.

Platinum prices were forecast to increase to $1,010 an ounce over the next year from around $835 on Tuesday and palladium was expected to rise to $1,195 from around $1,075.

Analysts and traders polled by Reuters this month said they expected gold prices to average $1,300 an ounce in 2019, silver to average $16.40, platinum to average $875 and palladium to average $1,025.

#Gold up, heads for longest string of weekly gains since January $AMK.ca $EXS.ca $MQR.ca

Posted by AGORACOM-JC at 10:36 AM on Friday, October 26th, 2018
  • Gold prices edged up on Friday and were on track to rise for the fourth straight week,
  • The longest string of weekly gains since January, as Asian stocks slumped amid increasing worries over the outlook for U.S. corporate earnings and global economic slowdown

Asian shares skidded to 20-month lows, S&P futures fell sharply and China’s yuan weakened at the end of a turbulent week for financial markets on Friday.

Spot gold was up 0.27 percent at $1,234.88 an ounce. It was up 0.7 percent for the week.

U.S. gold futures were up 0.4 percent at $1,237.30 an ounce.

“We had a pretty good rally in gold since the stock market crash. People are more concerned about the current geo-political risks and gold is being looked at more favourably now than in the past,” said Yuichi Ikemizu, Tokyo branch manager, ICBC Standard Bank.

Financial markets have been whipsawed in recent sessions on concerns over global growth as investors fretted over Sino-U.S. trade frictions, a mixed bag of U.S. corporate earnings, Federal Reserve rate hikes and Italian budget woes.

Gold, used as an alternative investment during times of political and financial uncertainty, has gained about 6 percent after falling in mid-August to their lowest since January 2017 at $1,159.96 an ounce.

However, the yellow metal has declined about 10 percent from its April peak after investors preferred the dollar as the U.S.-China trade war unfolded against a background of higher U.S. interest rates.

“Gold markets have entered a new trading zone of $1,228-$1,238, with investor mood swings on the S&P steering the ship,” said Stephen Innes, APAC trading head at OANDA in Singapore.

“The short-term narrative is caught between a hawkish U.S. Federal Reserve and a weaker equity market now.”

A target range of $1,252-$1,263 per ounce has been aborted for spot gold, as it failed again to break a resistance at $1,238, according to Reuters technical analyst Wang Tao.

Meanwhile, the dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major currencies, was down 0.1 percent.

Among other precious metals, palladium was down 0.13 percent at $1,198.50 an ounce, but away from a record high of $1,150.50 an ounce hit on Tuesday.

“Concerns around U.S. sanctions on Russia have eased a little bit, so not surprising to see investors lock in some of the gains (in palladium) achieved in the past week. But it still looks fairly constructive at least in the short-term,” ANZ analyst Daniel Hynes said.

Silver rose 0.21 percent to $14.64 per ounce, and platinum was up 0.72 percent at $828.90 an ounce.

  • Commenced an exploration program on its 100% owned Gold Hill property located in the Boulder Creek drainage, a tributary of the Wildhorse River east of Fort Steele, British Columbia
  • Program includes up to 2,500 meters of drilling

Cardston, Alberta–(October 25, 2018) – American Creek Resources Ltd. (TSXV:AMK) (“American Creek”) (“the Corporation”) is pleased to report that it has commenced an exploration program on its 100% owned Gold Hill property located in the Boulder Creek drainage, a tributary of the Wildhorse River east of Fort Steele, British Columbia. The program includes up to 2,500 meters of drilling.

The Gold Hill property covers approximately 836 hectares and is located along the eastern edge of the Kimberly Gold Trend. The property is road accessible by paved highway to Fort Steele and then by main logging roads to (and through) the property. Driving time from Cranbrook to the center of the property is less than one hour.

The property contains a significant portion of the Boulder Creek drainage, a tributary of the Wild Horse River which is considered to be one of the greatest gold rivers in the entire province. Gold rushes have taken place there since the 1860’s that have yielded 48 tonnes of reported gold, making it Canada’s 4th largest placer producer. The majority of the gold recovered from the Wild Horse was located along a 6 km stretch between Boulder Creek (upstream) and Brewery Creek (downstream). Early efforts by prospectors to locate the source of the Wild Horse placer gold led explorers up Boulder Creek to what is now called the Gold Hill property.

Although lode gold was first found in the area by prospectors in 1865, the Gold Hill property has not been the subject of any systematic modern exploration and the property has never been drill tested. The apparent reason is that the property was tied up in Crown Grants for an extended period of time. Historic work conducted on the property in 1937 included drifting and sampling on the Big Chief prospect by The Consolidated Mining and Smelting Company (CM&S – which became Cominco and is now Teck Resources Ltd.). CM&S conducted a car sampling program in which samples taken every 5 feet (1.5 meters) of advance along 40 feet (12 meters) of tunnel returned an average of 0.43 ounces (12 grams) of gold per ton with additional silver and base metal values.

In addition, face samples taken at 2 foot (0.6 meter) intervals along 22 feet (7 meters) of tunnel assayed 2.4 ounces per ton (68 grams) however, the face samples were likely subject to “nugget effect”. The tunnel driven by CM&S veered off the mineralized zone to explore a different part of the structure (where the gold values stopped).

Rock grab sampling conducted by American Creek in 2016 and 2017 included assays up to 25.14 g/t gold with 498.9 g/t silver in the northern Midas/Gold Hill area and up to 22.32 g/t gold on the Big Chief, and included the discovery of two new gold-bearing quartz veins.

There are two main highly prospective targets on the property:

1. The Midas prospect which is situated on the southern part of the property. The Midas is in an area of steep topography and is structurally controlled.

2. The Big Chief prospect which is situated on the northern portion of the property. The Big Chief is located on an area of moderate relief and is formed by hydrothermal activity from intruded syenite dykes of Cretaceous age.

The property is nominally divided into north and south portions by Boulder Creek which flows westerly through the property. This portion of the exploration program will concentrate on the Big Chief prospect.

One of the planned drill holes is designed to test the underlying formations at depth where they are intruded by the Syenite Porphyry. A report titled “Summary Report Untested Gold Targets on the Big Chief Property by David Pighin, P. Geo. (2014) theorizes that the syenite porphyry on the property may intrude the calcareous Cambrian Jubilee Formation at depth. Pighin further theorizes the calcareous Jubilee Formation is a more favorable host rock for mineral deposition. A hypothetical cross section exhibits the theoretical underlying formation and this drill hole is designed to test the theory.

Other drill holes will test additional prospective targets.

‘Shaky’ Global Stock Markets Trigger Bid For #Gold Says #Sprott $SII.ca $AMK.ca $EXS.ca $MQR.ca

  • Volatility in global stock markets is boosting demand for gold, which has stood “the test of time,” said Eric Sprott, billionaire precious metals investor and founder of Sprott Inc.

(Kitco News) – Volatility in global stock markets is boosting demand for gold, which has stood “the test of time,” said Eric Sprott, billionaire precious metals investor and founder of Sprott Inc.

As central banks around the world stepped up gold purchases, shouldn’t investors follow suit, Sprott was asked during the company’s Weekly Wrap-Up segment.

“In India, the central bank bought some gold for the first time in over a decade. Hungarians increased their gold [tenfold to 31.5] tons. Poland also made purchases,” Sprott said. And that’s aside from continued purchases of Russia and China, he added.

In the meantime, physical demand is also picking up, with India importing 95 metric tons of gold in August, Sprott added.

These are all positive numbers that investors should be paying attention to because there’s significant risk in the markets and gold is a proven safe-haven asset, he explained.

“There are lots of reasons to think that the Federal Reserve will have to change. It is uncertain what the Fed will do. You should not automatically count on four rate increases next year,” Sprott said.

On top of that, most stock markets in the world are in a bear market, he pointed out.

“Look at China, [the stocks] was down 32% this year. There are a lot of liquidity issues in a lot of markets, and when you’re the last man standing, [investors] are going to be selling American stocks first, because they’re the ones that are theoretically liquid,” he said. “The structure of markets is very risky … [And] as things get shaky here in the markets, you see the safe-safe-haven bid coming into gold,” Sprott said.

On Tuesday, equities dropped for the fifth consecutive session. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is seeing its worst monthly decline in three years and the S&P 500 is seeing its worst monthly performance in seven years, according to reports.

Meanwhile, the December Comex gold futures touched a three-week high of $1,242 Tuesday on increased safe-haven demand.

“The yellow metal was boosted by safe-haven demand amid keener geopolitical uncertainty in the marketplace. Gold prices did back off their daily highs as the U.S. stock indexes moved up from their daily lows,” said Kitco’s senior technical analyst Jim Wyckoff. “Global stock markets saw risk aversion return to the marketplace today amid heightened geopolitical tensions. China’s stock indexes were sharply down after good gains posted Monday. South Korea’s and Japan’s stock markets were also sharply lower.”

Gold has finally woken up. The price of gold jumped 2.4 per cent on Thursday – the most in nearly 2 years – in a sign of safe haven buying amid a rout in global stock markets.

The move is a sharp turnaround to gold’s recent performance. Gold had fallen by 10 per cent before Thursday’s move higher, hit by a stronger dollar and rising US interest rates.

“As a stock market sell off continues gold is once again a desired destination in times of uncertainty,” Alfonso Esparza, senior market analyst at Oanda, a currency exchange, said. “The metal had lost some cache in minds of investors, but when there is no clear safe haven fonds are flowing to gold.”

US stocks turned sharply lower in morning trading on Thursday, with the S&P 500 down 0.6 per cent at 2769.35. Shares in London and Hong Kong also fell.

Gold last traded at $1,222 a troy ounce, its highest level since July 31.
