  • The Tanco Mine was Canada’s largest and only producer of Spodumene, Tantalum and Cesium, producing from the Tanco Pegmatite
  • Spodumene is mined from Pegmatites and is one of the primary Lithium ore minerals in Hard Rock Lithium mines
  • To date this brings the total amounts of PFN’s claims in the Winnipeg River Pegmatite Field to 33, for a total area of 6,181 hectares (15,274 acres), making the company the largest area land holder in the Pegmatite field
  • The project is adjacent to and to the east of claims currently held by Tanco

July 5, 2016 Vancouver, Canada – Pacific North West Capital Corp. (“PFN”, the “Company”) (TSX.V: PFN; Frankfurt: P7J.F; OTCQB: PAWEF announces acquisition of a fifth Lithium Project in southeast Manitoba, through ground staking. The project is held by Lithium Canada, a 100% wholly owned subsidiary of PFN.

The Lithman East Project is situated approximately 6.5 km to the east of the Tanco Mine, which currently is producing Cesium Formate, a completion fluid for the petroleum industry, with Cesium extracted from the Tanco Pegmatite. The Tanco Pegmatite was discovered in the 1920s on the west shores of Bernic Lake. The mine went into production in 1969 and is still producing today. Previously, the Tanco Mine produced Tantalum and Spodumene (a primary Lithium ore mineral in Hard Rock Lithium mines). The mine was a Lithium mineral concentrate producer from 1986, until operations were suspended in 2009, and a Tantalum mineral concentrate producer until March 2013, when operation of the Tantalum circuit ceased. The Tanco Mine is operated by the Tantalum Mining Corporation of Canada (a division of the Cabot Corporation) and was previously North America’s largest and sole producer of Spodumene, Tantalum and Cesium. The 100% owned Lithman East Project consists of 12 claims for a total area of 2,490 hectares (6,153 acres), situated east and adjacent to mineral claims held by the Tantalum Mining Corporation of Canada.

The project area is located in the Bird River Greenstone Belt and was staked to cover portions of several Pegmatite groups in the Winnipeg River Pegmatite Field. Claims cover portions of the Bernic Lake, Rush Lake, and Birse Lake Pegmatite Groups. The Tanco Pegmatite is associated with the Bernic Lake Pegmatite Group of the Winnipeg River Pegmatite Field. Historically, numerous Pegmatites have been mapped in the region, but remain under explored. Field work is being planned to explore the area during the summer and fall of 2016.

Lithium Canada Development Inc. (100% wholly owned Subsidiary of Pacific North West Capital); total land holding in SE Manitoba as of July 2016: 6,181 hectares (15,274 acres).

The Tanco Pegmatite is not exposed at surface, except for under Bernic Lake. It is an extremely fractionated, rare-metal, complex type-Petalite subgroup, LCT (Lithium-Cesium-Tantalum) Pegmatite hosted in a late-stage, subvolcanic Gabbro. Current NI43-101 compliant resource calculations are not available for the Tanco Pegmatite. Academic publications have estimated the size of the deposit to be up to approximately 57 million tonnes. The last published mineral reserves (end of 1992) were 1.075 million tonnes of 0.12% Ta2O5, 3.5 million tonnes of 2.7% LiO2, and 315,000 tonnes of 23.3% Cs2O.

PFN considers the Lithman East Project to have the potential to host additional Lithium-bearing Pegmatites similar to others found in the region. The area has strong infrastructure, with active mining. The staking of this additional ground increases PFN’s claims in the Winnipeg River Pegmatite Field to 33, for a total of 6,181 hectares (15,274 acres). Lithman East Project is situated approximately 1.5 km to the southwest of the Lithium North Project, 5.5 km north of the Lithium One Project, and 9 km east of the Lithman West Project. The project has excellent infrastructure and is located approximately 150 km (93 miles) northeast of the provincial capital, Winnipeg. The recent staking efforts by the company have allowed Lithium Canada and PFN to become the largest area land holders in the Winnipeg River Pegmatite Field, in southeast Manitoba.

Further announcements with regard to joint venture partners and exploration plans will be forthcoming.

About The Company’s Lithium Division

The company’s new Lithium Division will focus on the acquisition, exploration and development of Lithium Projects in Canada. In the United States the company will use its wholly owned U.S.A subsidiary to acquire and develop projects in active mining camps in Nevada, Arizona and California.

Management believes that these New Age Metals, Lithium, PGMs and Rare Earths, have robust macro trends with surging demands and limited supply. Going forward, this new division will explore for the minerals needed to fuel the demand for energy storage and other core 21st Century Technologies.

The company has a growing portfolio of Lithium projects. The Clayton Valley Forks Li Project in Nevada is a recent Lithium Brine Project acquired by the company (PFN News Releases April 25th, 2016 and May 9th, 2016). The company also has Hard Rock Lithium projects in Canada (PFN News Releases April 21st, 2016 and May 24th, 2016).

Lithium and Platinum group metal prices have improved dramatically in recent months. Lithium supplies remain in deficit, relative to their demand. Both metals groups are used for the expanding worldwide automobile industry (conventional and electric). In the case of PGMs, demand is increasing for autocatalysts, a key component for reducing toxic emissions for automotive, gasoline and diesel engines. Regarding Lithium, there is an ever increasing demand for batteries in cellphones, laptops, electric cars, solar storage, wireless charging and renewable energy products.

  • Identified pegmatite outcrops on Durango’s Nemaska Whabouchi area properties
  • Compilation report is now complete
  • New satellite images were acquired which displayed outcropping of pegmatites

Vancouver, BC / July 5, 2016 – Durango Resources Inc. (TSX.V-DGO), (the “Company” or “Durango”) announces that further to the news release of June 27, 2016, where Mr. Donald Theberge, P.Eng., M.B.A identified pegmatite outcrops on Durango’s Nemaska Whabouchi area properties, the compilation report is now complete.

During Mr. Theberge’s compilation of information on Durango’s ground adjacent to and near the proposed Whabouchi Lithium Mine in Quebec, new satellite images were acquired which displayed outcropping of pegmatites on Durango’s properties. It has been confirmed that upon examination of the high definition satellite photos, newly identified outcrops and outcropping ridges were not previously evaluated by Tucana or any other company.

The conclusion of Mr. Donald Theberge, P.Eng., M.B.A, was that all of the “blocks of property are located in a fertile environment for lithium-bearing pegmatites, and also for gold and base metals with the EM anomalies.” It is highly recommended that exploration work is initiated immediately starting with a mapping and sampling program.

Marcy Kiesman, CEO of Durango, comments, “We are very pleased to see that each of Durango’s properties have confirmed pegmatite outcrops from the satellite photos, and more importantly, that they were not previously visited or sampled during the Tucana survey. This increases the odds of success for Durango and advances its position for discovery in the Nemaska region. The final details of the exploration program are now underway and updates will be announced as they become available.”

Additionally, further to the news release of June 30th, 2016, the non-flow through Financing has closed its second tranche and has now reached a total issuance of 2,510,000 non-flow through units at a price of $0.10 per unit for gross proceeds of $251,000. Each unit is composed of one common share and one warrant entitling the holder to acquire one additional common share at an exercise price of 15 cents per warrant for a period of one year from closing. The Company will pay a finder’s fee of $9,000 cash and 90,000 finders warrants in connection with the non-flow through financing. All securities under the placement are subject to a four month hold period from the date of closing and are subject to final TSX Venture Exchange approval.

The technical contents of this release were approved by Mr. Donald Theberge P.Eng., M.B.A., a Qualified Person as defined by National Instrument 43-101. The property has not been the subject of a National Instrument 43-101 report.

Purevap(TM) Produces Pure Silicon Metal Material That Exceeds 1st Lab Threshold; Material Being Sent To 2nd Specialized Lab In United States For Detailed Analysis $UBR.ca

Posted by AGORACOM-JC at 8:10 AM on Wednesday, June 29th, 2016

Uragold_new

  • Analysis confirms production of high purity silicon metal in all tests
  • Extremely low impurity levels exceed lab detection capabilities
  • Results Enter Project into next phase
  • Testing protocol moving forward

MONTREAL, QUEBEC–(June 29, 2016) – Uragold (TSX VENTURE:UBR)(FRANKFURT:UGE)(OTC PINK:URAGD) is pleased to inform its shareholders that INRS – ETE (Institut National de la Recherche Scientifique, Eau Terre Environnement) Laboratory in Quebec City has advised Uragold that the first batch of samples produced by the PUREVAPâ„¢ Quartz Vaporization Reactor (QVR) following restart (May 25, 2016 Press Release) have been analyzed.

ANALYSIS CONFIRMS PRODUCTION OF HIGH PURITY SILICON METAL IN ALL TESTS

Multiple surface readings were completed using a Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) associated with Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDX) on samples T6, T7 and T9. The analyses confirm production of High Purity Silicon Metal (Si) by the PUREVAPâ„¢ QVR during all of the tests but the final purity level in ppb (parts per billion) is yet to be determined.

EXTREMELY LOW IMPURITY LEVELS EXCEED LAB DETECTION CAPABILITIES

Of significant interest is the fact that 22 different readings of 100% Si were observed. This can be attributed to the fact the impurity levels of the samples are so low that they were below the impurity detection level of the method utilized by INRS – ETE (1,000 ppm). As such, the method used detected purity levels greater than 99.9% Si and were rounded up to 100%. This first pass analytical process confirms the ability of the PUREVAPâ„¢ process to create high purity silicon metal exceeding 99.9% and the samples will now been sent to a specialized laboratory in the United States to determine the precise purity levels of the Silicon Metal.

“We are encouraged by these results as they confirm our expectations of our PUREVAPâ„¢ process,” said Pierre Carabin, Director of Engineering of PyroGenesis. “We are looking forward to receiving the additional tests results from the specialized laboratory in the US. In the meantime, we continue to pursue our testing program.”

Bernard Tourillon, Chairman and CEO of Uragold stated, “These test results represent a significant milestone as one of the key goals of our project has been reached – the establishment of a high purity (99.9+%) baseline for the material produced by the reactor. Reaching our goal of transforming Uragold Quartz into Solar Grade Purity Silicon seems even more attainable.”

RESULTS ENTER PROJECT INTO NEXT PHASE

At the outset, theoretical modeling of the process indicated that transforming Uragold Martinville Raw Quartz into High Purity Silicon Metal was feasible. Today’s results now validate this. Therefore, the program is now moving beyond the metallurgical testing phase into an R&D program strictly focused on improving the PUREVAPâ„¢ QVR beneficiation capability for the express purpose of determining maximum purity and advancing to the pilot plant stage.

TESTING PROTOCOL MOVING FORWARD

The original test protocols called for any material that exceeded the lower limit of detection of the SEM-EDX to be further tested using Laser Ablation Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS) analysis. The Lab has advised the INRS that it lacked a High Purity Silicon Quality Assurance Standards for LA-ICP-MS analysis in order to validate results. Furthermore, because of contamination risk associated with the Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry testing, it was decided the material should be sent to a specialised laboratory in the US for neutron activation analysis (NAA) testing.

Testing Methodology:

The SEM-EDX analysis were completed at the INRS – ETE laboratory in Quebec City.

The scanning electron micrographs (SEM) USED are Carl Zeiss EVO® 50 smart SEM equipped with a range of imaging detectors, including: an Everhart-Thornley Secondary Electron Detector, for topographic image.

Backscattered electron (BSE) images allow the viewing of images in chemical contrast, depending of the mean atomic number of the specimen. The systems use a 4 Quadrant backscattered electron detector (QBSD).

The elemental analysis of the particles present on the surface is enabled by an energy dispersive X-ray spectrometry (EDS) Microanalysis System (model: Oxford Instruments, INCAx-sight EDS Detectors). This EDS is a Lithium drifted Silicon detector Si (Li). EDS can detect element from Beryllium (z=4) to Uranium (z=92). This detector must be operated at liquid nitrogen temperatures.

  • EDS Resolution: 133 eV.
  • Detection limits: 1,000 ppm

Settings used for the analysis: Accelerating voltage usually used is 20 kV, Working distance: WD: 8.5 mm for EDS analysis, for image in SE.

Sample preparation

  1. The samples were mounted on conventional 12.7 mm diameter aluminum stubs using double sided adhesive carbon discs. The all is clamped in a multi-stub holder.
  2. The samples were coated with a thin layer (20-30 nm) of conductive medium, such as gold, to increase conductivity and thus to minimise sample charge up.

Pierre Carabin, Eng., M. Eng., has reviewed and approved the technical contents of this press release.

About Uragold

Uragold Bay Resources is a TSX-V listed junior exploration company planning to become a vertically integrated and diversified High Value Specialty Materials Company. Uragold has announced plans to spin out its Beauce Gold Project – the largest placer gold deposit in eastern North America. Our Business model is focused on developing unique projects that can generate high yield returns and significant free cash flow within a short time line.

High Value Specialty Materials

In September 2015, PyroGenesis announced that it had filed for a provisional patent for the PUREVAPâ„¢ Quartz Vaporization Reactor (QVR) process, which it noted was able to produce silicon, at a lower cost, while generating less CO2 emissions than current processes.

On April 19, 2016, PyroGenesis announced that early test results of the PUREVAPâ„¢ QVR process have demonstrated that it can transform high purity quartz into silicon metal. The PUREVAPâ„¢ QVR validation program his now in its second stage whereby the operational parameters of the reactor are adjusted in order to achieve the transformation of Uragold Quartz into Solar Grade Purity Si.

Uragold, with its worldwide exclusive usage of PyroGenesis’ PUREVAPâ„¢ QVR, is endeavouring to become a vertically integrated Silicon Metal (98.5% Si), High Purity Silicon Metal (99.99% Si), Solar Grade Silicon Metal (6N Purity / 99.9999% Si) and/or Higher (9N Purity / 99.9999999% Si) producer.

The PUREVAPâ„¢ QVR process’s big advantage is its one step direct transformation of Quartz into High Purity Silicon Metal Solar Grade Silicon Metal and/or Higher Purity product, thereby potentially allowing Uragold to manufacture high value material for the same operating cost presently being paid by traditional producers to make Metallurgical Grade Si (98.5% Si) using the traditional arc furnace approach.

The Science Behind PyroGenesis PUREVAPâ„¢ QVR Process Is Solid:

  • Plasma arc based process can and has transformed High Purity Quartz into Mg Si.
  • Plasma arc based process can and is being used to purify Mg Si into higher value materials such as Sg Si.
  • Finally, refining Mg Si using an electron-beam furnace in a high vacuum-processing environment has proven the concept of the elimination of elements whose vapor pressures are higher than that of silicon.

What is unique and ground breaking is the combination of these three proven processes into one step.

A Green And Clean Company

Uragold, with its worldwide exclusive usage of PyroGenesis’ PUREVAPâ„¢ QVR will also be implementing a process to make Sg Si, which is estimated to generate 14.1 kg CO2 eq/Kg SG Si, versus the 54.0 kg CO2 eq/Kg SG Si of emissions generated by the Siemens process (90% of the present production process). This represents 75% fewer greenhouse gas emissions, which is justified by elimination of the emissions emanating from the use of chemicals, as well as, energy consumption from the additional purification step.

High Purity Quartz Properties

Uragold is also the largest holder of High Purity Quartz properties in Quebec, with over 3,500 Ha under claims. Despite the abundance of quartz, very few deposits are suitable for high purity applications. High Purity Quartz supplies are tightening, prices are rising, and exponential growth is forecast. Quartz from the Roncevaux property successfully passed rigorous testing protocols of a major silicon metal producer confirming that our material is highly suited for their silicon metal production.

VIDEO: Why Small Cap Resource Stocks Will Win With BREXIT

Posted by AGORACOM at 10:09 AM on Friday, June 24th, 2016

The masses are tired, hungry and pissed off with their politicians who do nothing but break their promises, rack up debt and hide money with the help of their friends in Panama. The BREXIT vote wasn’t a vote to leave the EU, it was a vote to “try something, anything, different”.

The masses no longer have faith in existing structures and the status quo. That means, a return to traditional investments and precious metals (gold, silver) + industrial minerals (lithium, graphite, quartz, etc.) are at the very top.

This is great news for small cap resource stocks. It is great news for small cap investors. It is great news for AGORACOM Members.

Fairmont Completes 150,000 Euro Deposit for Grabasa Asset Purchase $FMR.ca

  • Deposit of 150,000 Euros paid by Fairmont to court in Spain with respect to Spanish Granite (Grabasa) assets acquisition
  • Discussions with potential lenders ongoing
  • Fairmont expects signed letter of intent for debt financing in the coming week
  • US market for dimensional stone, which includes granite and marble, was more than US$2.5 billion in 2014

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA–(June 23, 2016) – Fairmont Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:FMR)(OTC:FRSSF)(FRANKFURT:F0O1) (“Fairmont“) is pleased to announce that a deposit of 150,000 Euros was sent by Fairmont and received by the court in Spain with respect to the Granitos de Badajoz S.A. (“Grabasa”) assets acquisition. This is in addition to the 60,000 Euros deposit made on behalf of Fairmont Resources by Eureka Consulting, previously announced in the Fairmont news release of March 21, 2016.

Discussions with potential lenders for the remainder of the acquisition are ongoing. Fairmont expects to receive a signed letter of intent for debt financing in the coming week.

As first reported by Aggregate Business Europe in the article titled, “Dynamic Start to 2016 for European Construction Equipment Sales” (http://goo.gl/8XlXvH), it quotes the Committee for European Construction Equipment stating an “encouraging opening period of 2016 was driven by the robust recovery of the French market, the continuation of the recovery in Southern Europe and the stability of the Western European market as a whole” in construction equipment sales. Fairmont sees this as continued positive signs in European construction recovery as well as for future demand for construction and renovation material including granite.

In the Winter 2015-2016 Gilbane Construction Economics Market Conditions in Construction report for the US, it is reported that “2015 is a breakout year for nonresidential buildings construction spending, expected to finish at 17% growth. With expected growth of more than 13% in 2016, the three year period of 2014-2016 could reach historic growth.” Fairmont sees this as a positive sign for granite and marble demand in the US. The US market for dimensional stone, which includes granite and marble, was more than US$2.5 billion in 2014, with more than $2.0 billion being dominated by imported material that would be a target market for GRABASA.

Michael Dehn, President and CEO Of Fairmont Resources stated, “This is an exciting opportunity for Fairmont to acquire one of the premier granite producing assets in Europe. Fairmont management sees additional opportunities to expand sales into worldwide markets without the requirement of expensive upgrades or facility expansions. Once all of the necessary financing is in place, Fairmont plans to move rapidly into selling existing granite inventory and recommencing production for continuing sales.”

About Fairmont

Fairmont Resources Inc. is a rapidly growing industrial mineral and dimensional stone company trading on the Toronto Venture Exchange symbol FMR.

Fairmont’s Quebec properties cover numerous occurrences of high-grade titaniferous magnetite with vanadium, with the Buttercup property having a permit to quarry dense aggregate. Where these occurrences have been tested they have display exceptional uniformity with respect to grade. Fairmont also controls three quartz/quartzite properties, with the Forestville property having independent end user testing confirming the suitability of quartzite from Forestville for Ferro Silicon production. Fairmont is also in the process of acquiring the assets of Granitos de Badajoz (GRABASA) in Spain which includes 23 quarries and a 40,000 square metre granite finishing facility that has produced finished granite installed across Europe.
