  • New 100%-owned Li Division, with 5 Hard Rock Pegmatite Projects, in Manitoba and Lithium Brine Projects, in Nevada – Fall Surface Programs Underway

Vancouver, British Columbia / November 3, 2016 – Pacific North West Capital Corp. (“PFN” the “Company”) (TSXV: PFN; OTCQB: PAWEF; FSE: P7J) is pleased to announce staking of 14 New, Unpatented Mining Claims, adjacent to its River Valley PGM Project (RVP) and north of its Recently Expanded River Valley Extension Project (Figure 1). The River Valley Platinum Metal Group (PGM) Deposit, on RVP, has been targeted by many drill campaigns, since 2000, which have returned High Grade Assays, at Shallow Depths and led to several large mineral resource estimates and positive metallurgical studies (for details see PFN websitewww.PFNCapital.com). Collectively, the Newly Expanded RVP, plus the Recently Acquired and Expanded River Valley Extension Project (see:Press Release October 5th, 2016) now comprise a total landholding of 10,454 ha. This large landholding gives PFN a Strategic Land Position and district scale PGM potential, near Sudbury, home to one of the World’s Largest Nickel-Copper-PGM Mining and Metallurgical Complexes.

The Expanded RVP overlies more of the interior of the River Valley Intrusion, in addition to the basal contact area. PGM Exploration has focused on the basal contact, hosted main mineralized trend and a very large, near-surface mineral resource has been delineated. However, the internal portion of the River Valley Intrusion, has not been systematically explored, despite the presence of high-grade PGM grab samples, mineralization in sporadic drilling, and geophysical anomalies. Approximately $10M in assessment credits can be applied to the claims, within the RVP property, allowing PFN to Focus Exploration on the Highest Priority Targets. Exploration is Underway and a Drill Program began in early October; results will be released in the Coming Weeks and Months.

Analysts Expecting Higher Palladium Prices in 2016 $PFN.ca

Posted by AGORACOM-JC at 10:25 AM on Thursday, April 21st, 2016

Now that Q1 is over, it seems that analysts are a little more positive about palladium prices.

nickel price today palladium prices

Investors following the palladium market will be glad to know that there are some positive sentiments in regards to palladium prices. Palladium– despite having dipped in early April – is trading at about 0.4 percent higher than in March, with an April 15 price of $568 per troy ounce.

While the gain is nominal, it does bring with it a degree of encouragement that palladium prices will be on their way up in the short term. Prices are still 25 percent lower than in 2015, but year to date the metal has seen a 2.3 percent increase in an environment governed by weak economic data.

That said, FocusEconomics expects to see palladium prices improving in the coming quarters.

In a recent sector update, FocusEconomics highlights that March car sales in the US – a significant driver of palladium prices as palladium’s primary use is in catalytic converters – came in below expectations. While this would typically be a large strike against palladium prices increasing, a weaker US dollar urged the metal on.

“Prices are expected to rise slowly in the coming quarters. Improvements in the global economy and a supply deficit should propel steady gains.” The firm’s Consensus Forecast project shows that analysts are of the mind that palladium prices will average US$626 per troy ounce in Q4 2016. Furthermore, the consensus is that prices will rise to an average of $724 in Q4 2017.

For the most part, the analysts surveyed in the consensus “see the price of palladium rising by Q4 2016.” The disconnect, however, remains on the extent of the recovery. “For Q4 2016, the maximum price forecast is USD 698 per troy ounce, while the minimum is projected to be USD 550 per troy ounce.” the report notes.

Palladium price forecasts

Delving deeper into the outlook for palladium prices, investors in the metal might be interested to know what some of the top minds in the sector are anticipating in terms of price activity for the next quarter and end of year. Here’s a sample:

  • ABN AMRO: expects to see a Q2 2016 palladium price of $592. Meanwhile, at year end the firm expects to see prices increase to $650
  • ANZ: expects to see a Q2 2016 price slightly lower at $525. Still more modestly, the firm’s Q4 2016 price will be holding on to a continued $550.
  • BMO Capital Markets: more optimistic than ANZ, BMO sees prices for the second quarter to be averaging $575. Meanwhile, year end the firm hopes to see $600 per troy ounce.
  • JP Morgan: likely the most optimistic estimate included on the FocusEconomics report, JPM is expecting a $675 per troy ounce in Q2 prices. While the firm sees prices reaching $700 in Q3, its Q4 expectation is slightly lower at $692.

With current palladium prices at $583.75, it will be interesting to see which firms are on the mark and which have missed it.

Continuity of Nickel-Copper System Extended for 584 Meters on Julie Nickel Discovery on the Quebec North-Shore

Posted by AGORACOM-JC at 12:54 PM on Tuesday, January 13th, 2015

  • New batch of results has extended the total strike of the Nickel-Copper occurrences on the Julie-Nickel Discovery to a length of 584 meters.
  • Best result from the portable drill samples yielded 1.17% Nickel at approximately 211 meters away from a previous discovery on the T1 Zone which yielded 1.71% Nickel over 8.49 meters

Baie-Comeau, Quebec / January 13, 2015 / St-Georges Platinum and Base Metals Ltd. (CSE: SX) (FSE: 85G1) (US OTC: SXOOF) is pleased to announced today that a new batch of results has extended the total strike of the Nickel-Copper occurrences on the Julie-Nickel Discovery to a length of 584 meters. The best result from the portable drill samples yielded 1.17% Nickel at approximately 211 meters away from a previous discovery on the T1 Zone which yielded 1.71% Nickel over 8.49 meters

Results Warrant Acceleration of Plans for Julie Nickel Discovery

“We are very encouraged by these new additional results coming out of the Julie-Nickel Project. The fact that these latest results were achieved over 200 metres away from a previous discovery makes us optimistic for the future of this early stage project. As such, we have accelerated our plan and expect to bring this discovery to drill ready stage before the summer of 2015.” Commented Frank Dumas, President & CEO of the Company.

“This acceleration is further supported by the expectation that nickel prices could move dramatically higher over the next two years as a cyclical recovery takes hold in the base metal sector, according to a recent report from Scotiabank” Dumas went on to say.

Joel Scodnick, P.Geo., Vice-President Exploration of St-Georges commented: “(…) no matter how you look at this mineralized corridor, there’s a 13km long magnetic anomaly that appears to be spatially associated with the Julie showing and all the other showings along strike of the Julie showing as mentioned in the press release. This structure is further evidence of a fairly extensive and pervasive plumbing system responsible for the concentrations of nickel discovered so far. Based on the surface work conducted and very shallow drilling using a man-held portable drill it is imperative at this point that St George’s establish a detailed grid in preparation for a diamond drilling campaign. If it can be established that the nickel sulphide enrichment is present at depth and along strike then a deposit of significance could be present, especially given the fact that the structure is so long and most like deep-rooted.”

Results Summary

T2 Zone

A surface mineralized zone of 52 meters by 18 meters referred to as “T2” has been identified. This zone is located 116 meters away from the initial discovery of “T1” on an East-North-East trend. It is categorized by a series of small gossans within a larger zone of mafic and ultramafic rocks at or near surface.

When added to the T1 Zone already identified (See Press Release, December 29, 2014) it covers a total of 238 meters of mineralisation and coincides with the ultramafic intrusive suite which hosts the new discovery which has been identified by geophysical data obtained by St-Georges in 2011 where a 13 kilometres magnetic conductor on a WSW to ENE trend was discovered.

The table below outline the results from a 2.88 meter channel sample taken in parallel with the mineralized body at surface:

From To Interval* Nickel Copper Cobalt
(Metres) (Metres) (Metres) (%) (%) (%)
T2 Channel 6 0 2.88 2.88 0.828 0.135 0.025

* Reported channel sample sections are not true widths. An apparent surface width of 8 meters can be calculated but at this time there is insufficient data with respect to the shape of the mineralization to calculate true orientations in space.

The starting point of the channel sample was located at N49? 57.517′ W69? 26.911′

Results from a man-held portable drill hole are also available. The hole was drilled vertically from surface to a shallow depth of 0.40 meters and was assayed as a whole. The drill hole was located at N49? 57.513′ W69? 26.911′.

From To Interval* Nickel Copper Cobalt

(Metres) (Metres) (Metres) (%) (%) (%)
T2 Channel 4 0 1.64 1.64 0.571 0.116 0.0148

This channel is located on the outskirt of the mineralized body and in parallel with it at N49? 57.518′ W69? 26.906.

From To Interval* Nickel Copper Cobalt
(Metres) (Metres) (Metres) (%) (%) (%)
T2 Channel 7 0 2.16 2.16 0.157 0.0351 <0.001

This channel sample is located outside of the mineralised body at N49?57.518′ W69? 26.905′

* Reported channel sample sections are not true widths. An apparent surface width of 8 meters can be calculated but at this time there is insufficient data with respect to the shape of the mineralization to calculate true orientations in space.

T3 ZONE

The T3 exploration target zone is a surface mineralized zone measuring 58 meters by 8 meters located 159 meters to the South-East of the eastern limits of the T2 Zone. This zone seems to be trending from a North-South to East-South-East axis. Its north-western section encompasses the southern boundaries of the previously identified magnetic conductor on the Julie Project. When added to the T1 and T2 Zones already identified it covers a total 455 meters which is mineralized at or near surface.

From To Interval* Nickel Copper Cobalt
(Metres) (Metres) (Metres) (%) (%) (%)
T3 Channel 3 0.82* 2.76 1.93 0.39 0.108 0.012
including 2.21 2.76 0.55 0.47 0.0914 0.013

*The interval 0-82 cm is still being analysed at the time of this press release. Location of the channel is N49? 57.566′ W69? 26.774′

* Reported channel sample sections are not true widths. An apparent surface width of 6 meters can be calculated but at this time there is insufficient data with respect to the shape of the mineralization to calculate true orientations in space.

A 3.38 meters channel located on the southern limit of Zone T3 yielded 8.8 g/t of Silver and 0.03% Zinc with 0.175% Copper.

Manheld portable drill hole drilled vertically from surface in the mineralized body within the North-Western section of zone T3 yielded the results below:

From To Interval* Nickel Copper Cobalt
(Metres) (Metres) (Metres) (%) (%) (%)
T3 Hole #1 0 0.42 0.42 0.453 0.068 0.011

Location is N49?57.566′ W69? 26.769′

T4 ZONE

This surface mineralized zone is located 98 meters to the East of the T3 Zone South-Eastern boundary and covers 31 meters x 8 meters. This zone is just south and the magnetic conductor.

A man-held portable drill hole yielded this result:

From To Interval* Zinc Copper Silver
(Metres) (Metres) (Metres) (%) (%) g/t
T4 Hole #1 0 0.26 0.26 0.968 0.048 2.2

Location is N49? 57.604′ W69? 26.659′

T9 ZONE

The T9 Exploration Target is a zone that runs on a West-East axis located approximately 740 meters directly to the north of the Zone T4 boundary and 1.07 km to the East-North-East of Zone T1. The surface mineralization cover 142 meters x 21 meters and it is characterized by a large gossan zone. The gossan is hosted by mafic and ultramafic rocks in contact with a Gneissic unit. This zone is several hundred meters outside of the magnetic conductor identified and lies in a magnetic low area of the property.

Initial partial results from this zone confirmed the presence of Copper and yield these results:

From To Interval* Zinc Copper Silver
(Metres) (Metres) (Metres) (%) (%) g/t
T9 Channel 3 0 1.20 1.20 0.04 0.194 9.3

Location is N49? 58.051′ W69? 26.635′

Pacific North West Capital Provides Update on River Valley PGM Project

Posted by AGORACOM-JC at 8:47 AM on Thursday, July 31st, 2014

VANCOUVER, July 31, 2014 – Pacific North West Capital Corp. (TSX-V: PFN) today provides an update on its search for a strategic joint venture partner for its River Valley platinum group metal (PGM) project, near the city of Sudbury, Ontario (Canada).

PFN is pleased to announce that it has hired SFA (Oxford) Limited (Oxford, UK) to provide an independent strategic assessment of its 100% River Valley PGM Project, near the world-class nickel-copper-PGM mining and processing centre of Sudbury, Ontario (Figure 1). The assessment document will be a concise compilation report of a high-level case for investment in the River Valley PGM Project against other global projects and operations. The document will provide key support for PFN’s search for a credible and well-funded strategic joint venture partner to share its vision and commitment to explore and develop the River Valley PGM Project.

SFA Oxford enjoys a global reputation as a group of independent consulting analysts in mining, metals and commodities, with specialization in PGM (including palladium – the main metal at River Valley). The timing of PFN’s decision to hire SFA Oxford builds on the strong global fundamentals currently driving up the commodity price of palladium.
