MONTREAL, QUEBEC–(Oct. 16, 2017) – HPQ Silicon Resources Inc (“HPQ”) (TSX VENTURE:HPQ)(FRANKFURT:UGE)(OTC PINK:URAGF) is pleased to advise shareholders that PyroGenesis Canada Inc (PyroGenesis) has informed HPQ that the Gen 2 PUREVAPtm Quartz Reduction Reactor (“QRR”) reactor, 1/250 scale model of the planned 200 tonnes per annum (tpa) Pilot Plant (PUREVAPtm Pilot Plant) has completed its installation, assembly and commissioning phases and that the new testing program will commence this week.

ANTICIPATED TIMELINE FOR TESTING AND KEY MILESTONE MOVING FORWARD

The new Gen 2 Purevapâ„¢ QRR testing program will focus on Process Refinement, Characterization, Metallurgical Testing and testing electrical parameters.

The first tests will be done to establish the new operating parameters of the equipment, using a low purity batch of Roncevaux Quartz as feedstock.

The first key millstones of the program being:

  • Successfully operating the Gen 2 Purevapâ„¢ in a semi-continuous feed mode over multiple test cycles;
  • Successfully tapping the Silicon Metal from the Gen 2 Purevapâ„¢, over multiple test cycles.

This phase of testing, expected to last several weeks is important as it will give us crucial data to commence final design of the PUREVAPtm Pilot Plant to be constructed in 2018.

Once Gen 2 is fully operational, we will switch to High Purity Feedstock, for the next series of tests, focusing on:

  • Testing of the electrical parameters of the High Purity Si;
  • Produce enough material to send samples to Solar industry participants;
  • Provide data to demonstrate the economics of PUREVAPâ„¢ QRR.

UPDATE ON GEN 1 PUREVAPtm SILICON METAL PURITY TESTS

The final comprehensive report and recommendations on the original proof of concept and GEN 1 process characterization, including the complete 94 metallurgical tests conducted, is being finalized by PyroGenesis.

(“Tudor”) has released results for the first four holes drilled on the Copper Belle zone at the Treaty Creek Project located in BC’s “Golden Triangle” immediately north of, and in the same hydrothermal system as, Seabridge Gold’s KSM project and Pretivm’s Brucejack project.

Tudor Gold Extends Gold Zone at Treaty Creek to Over One Kilometer

Tudor Gold Corp. (TSX.V: TUD) (Frankfurt: TUC) (the “Company” or “Tudor Gold”) is pleased to report on the results of the first four holes of the Copper Belle zone and on the completion of the resource delineation program for the Copper Belle zone of the Treaty Creek property.

The Copper Belle resource delineation drill program was completed with 27 holes to depths below 700 meters and with step outs of 50 meters where it was possible. Over 13,722 meters of drilling was completed in the Copper Belle zone in 2017.

CB-17-04, the first step-out hole drilled this year on the Copper Belle zone, intersected 176.2 meters of continuous mineralization which returned 0.80 g/T Au from 152.1 to 328.5 meters depth. Hole CB-17-04 was collared 40 meters north of CB-16-03 where topography permitted. Complete results are pending for the remaining 23 holes.

Drill results for the first four Copper Belle holes at Treaty Creek are summarized in the table below:

Results from subsequent drill holes from the 2017 drill program at Copper Belle are still pending. Drill holes targeted the mineralized zone on Copper Belle and all holes to date have intersected long intervals of mineralization to depth. Drill holes were targeted oblique to the northwesterly plunge of the main mineralized zone. The drill program was designed for approximately 50 meter step-outs across the mineralized zone to create a block of delineated mineralization for a preliminary resource estimate. All drill holes were down hole surveyed at 25 m stations using a Reflex Multi-shot device.

The Copper Belle resource estimate will use data from 27 holes from 2017, three holes from 2016, 17 holes from 2009 and 10 holes from 2007, for a total of 22,970 meters drilled. These drill holes cover an area of approximately 250 meters wide by a kilometer long. Copper Belle zone mineralization is open in all directions and to depth.

The HC drill program consisted of 17 drill holes totalling 5,401 meters that tested the mineralized strata-bound structure for a strike length of 400 meters and 400 meters down dip (still open at depth), and the vein system remains open to the north, south and at depth. The program was designed with a maximum of 50 meter step-outs in the mineralized zone to prepare for a preliminary resource estimate in this area. Assay results are pending for the remaining holes.

The Company is very pleased to report that the magnetotelluric geophysical survey program (“MT Survey”) that was implemented in 2016 has been effectively utilized as a guide for the 2017 drill program. The MT Survey suggests that the mineralization continues to the south, toward the Iron Cap deposit of Seabridge Gold Inc. The MT Survey also suggests that the mineralized zone continues in all directions. Tudor Gold’s 2017 drill program is located five kilometers north of the Iron Cap deposit and the Company intends to step out to the south in its 2018 program to see if it can determine a relationship between the two areas.

Gold on the rise.

  • Gold futures rose Thursday, pushing the yellow metal toward $1,300 as investors read minutes from the Federal Reserve’s September policy meetings as slightly dovish
  • Offering a lift to the commodity
  • December gold GCZ7, +0.43% was $8.80, or 0.7%, higher at $1,297,
  • Flirting with its highest settlement since Sept. 26 at $1,301.70, according to FactSet data.

An account of the most recent meeting of the Federal Open Market Committee, released after gold futures settled on Wednesday, showed signs that policy makers questioned the need for an interest-rate hike in December—though one appears likely—as levels of inflation continued to track below the central bank’s 2% annual target.

Although the market’s reaction was relatively subdued, the minutes suggest that Chairwoman Janet Yellen and other policy makers will increase interest rates once more in December, but that efforts to normalize policy will otherwise run at a gradual pace.

A measured rate of interest-rate increases can be supportive for gold, which doesn’t offer a yield. Wall Street is pricing in an 83% chance of a rate increase in December, compared with a nearly 88% probability the day before, according to CME Group data.

Meanwhile, a popular dollar gauge, the ICE U.S. Dollar Index DXY, +0.19% was trading flat at 93.029. Gold prices are on track to climb for four of the past five sessions, as the dollar has weakened 0.8% over the week. A softer buck can make commodities priced in the currency more appealing to buyers using weaker monetary units.

Elsewhere, silver for December delivery SIZ7, +0.30% added 12 cents, or 0.7%, to trade at $17.255 an ounce, and is on track to rise five of the past six sessions. The silver-focused ETF, the iShares Silver Trust SLV, -0.18% was little changed.

Mark O’Byrne, research director at GoldCore Ltd, said recent gains can also be attributed to expected seasonally stronger demand for gold by India heading into the Diwali holiday, or Deepavali, as well as geopolitical tensions tied to North Korea, the Middle East and U.S. President Donald Trump. Tensions between Iraq and Kurds in the region have escalated after a Kurdish independence referendum, while Trump’s belligerent rhetoric with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has had investors on edge.

“Against this global macro backdrop, I do think that we possible we will push $1,400 [an ounce], and then close above $1,300 by year-end,” he said.

Escondido, California–(October 10, 2017) – Marijuana Company of America Inc. (OTC Pink: MCOA) (“MCOA” or the “Company“), an innovative hemp and cannabis corporation, and Global Hemp Group (CSE: GHG) (FSE: GHG) (OTC Pink: GBHPF), (collectively the “Companies“), are pleased to announce that they have jointly entered into a letter of intent with Space Cowboys, Inc. (“Space Cowboys“) for the purposes of forming a joint venture (the “Joint Venture“). Space Cowboys is an existing fully licensed and compliant hemp-derived cannabinoid producer in Colorado.

The Get Popular service is a user focused self-promotion tool which will allow users to purchase advertising units for themselves or for their content to be featured in certain positions in the Peeks Social app’s Popular Channel, Live Channels, and similar pages. The Get Popular feature provides another revenue stream for the Peeks Social platform in addition to the platform fees currently charged on user generated tipping. Certain broadcasters on the Peeks Social platform are now earning up to $250,000 per year and this new feature will assist content creators to become more easily discovered thereby further monetizing their social following.

As indicated in a press release dated September 14, 2017, the Get Popular service is one of three of the product’s advertising and sales services that are core features of the revenue generation model on the Peeks Social platform. Microsoft’s growth could get a boost from its latest Xbox launch as well as its exploration of the growing esports industry, according to one Wall Street analyst.

Canaccord Genuity upgraded Microsoft shares to buy from hold Wednesday, noting that the Xbox maker could give more credibility to the budding world of esports, which is centered on video game tournaments and already attracts thousands of participants and viewers.

“In our view, this is both an area of future internal development and prospective M&A,” wrote analyst Richard Davis. “With regard to M&A, perhaps Microsoft could become the Ticketmaster of eSports, maybe they could run leagues.”

Microsoft is set to release its latest generation of Xbox, called the Xbox One X, in November. Davis added that Microsoft‘s office productivity programs and its cloud computing platform, Azure, could also accelerate growth.

Shares of Microsoft rose 0.5 percent shortly after Thursday’s market open. The company’s stock is up 20 percent year to date through Wednesday.

The analyst raised his price target for Microsoft shares to $86, which is 15 percent higher than Wednesday’s closing price. His old target was $76.

Esports are turning a lot of heads lately. Industry revenue is expected to hit $1.1 billion in 2019, and roughly 76 percent of esports fans claim the virtual tournaments are overtaking their time spent watching traditional sporting events, according to research firm Newzoo.

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft recently made headlines by purchasing one of seven teams for the Overwatch League, a popular online game produced by Activision Blizzard.

“For brands, media, and entertainment companies, esports provides a chance to capitalize on the favorite pastime of digital natives and Millennials: playing games and watching game content,” Newzoo’s analysts wrote in the firm’s annual esports market report.
