$NSM.ca Northern Sphere Mining Corp. to Follow up on Cobalt Values up to 0.23% Sampled from Various Showings on Its Sudbury District Scadding Property

Posted by AGORACOM at 6:00 PM on Thursday, April 19th, 2018

  • Cobalt identified in 0.20 and 0.23% 2 KM apart from each other
  •  Scadding hosts abundant Nippissing diabase intrusives with a NW-SE orientation
  • Mineral resources found on the property are clustered and parallel to the Nippissing dykes
  • At the Scadding Property, favourable geological context also occurs in contact zones between the Nippissing intrusives and a competent host rocks

Northern Sphere Mining Corp. (CSE: NSM) (OTCQB: NSMCF) (“Northern Sphere” or the “Company”) will be investigating known Cobalt anomalies on its Scadding Property located in Sudbury’s Nickel District. Outcrop sampling at two separate mineral showings, approximately 2 km apart, returned values of 0.23% Cobalt (Red Rock Occurrence) and 0.20% Cobalt (McLean Secret Showing). Geophysical signatures identified by Northern Spherein 2017 correlate well with the location of these outcrops. The 3D magnetic re-inversion (which re-interprets and models three dimensional geophysical data) identified several optimal targets on our 40,000-acre property.

In addition to the significant Cobalt values recovered from outcrop sampling, Northern Sphere also analysed for Cobalt as part of a multi-element package on its last hole during the 2017 drill campaign. Hole NSM-17-06 returned values of up to 189 ppm Cobalt and 678 ppm Nickel from drill core exhibiting strong chloritized segments. Northern Sphere intends to analyse a percentage of similar material from its core storage facility for both Cobalt and Nickel. Currently, Northern Sphere is prioritizing optimized drill targets for its 2018 drill campaign.

Scadding Property — Sudbury District, Ontario

The Scadding Property is nestled at the junction between the Abitibi-Wawa greenstone belt (which encompasses the Sudbury Igneous Complex), the Grenville Front, and the Huronian Supergroup (see Figure 1). The Scadding Property is located at a large scale structural junction. World class base metal deposits are located to the West (Sudbury Nickel District) and precious metal deposits are located to the East (River Valley Pt-Pd, Cobalt Silver).

The Scadding Property plays host to abundant Nippissing diabase intrusives which utilized pre-existing structure during emplacement. The intrusives demonstrate a preferred NW-SE orientation. Mineral resources found on the property are clustered within these corridors and parallel to the Nippissing dykes. Within the Cobalt, Ontario Camp, Silver and Cobalt mineralization are generally found in proximity to the Nippissing Diabase. At the Scadding Property, favourable geological context also occurs in contact zones between the Nippissing intrusives and a competent host rocks (i.e. quartzite of the Serpent Formation).

Northern Sphere will continue to advance and acquire district scale properties for successful future mineral exploitation.

$GLI.ca Glacier Lake to Acquire Property in B.C.’s Prolific Golden Triangle $GTT.ca $JAX.ca

Posted by AGORACOM at 9:07 AM on Wednesday, April 18th, 2018

  • Acquired the “Hackett” and “North Wolverine” properties in the Sheslay area of northwestern British Columbia
  • Properties are located approximately 38 kilometers northwest of the village of Telegraph Creek
  • The Sheslay area is considered one of the most promising grassroots mineral exploration areas in Canada

Glacier Lake Resources Inc. (TSXV:GLI) (“Glacier” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce that it has entered into an agreement to acquire the “Hackett” and the “North Wolverine” properties in the Sheslay area of northwestern British Columbia.  The properties are located approximately 38 kilometers northwest of the village of Telegraph Creek, and approximately 95 kilometers west-southwest of Dease Lake. Association for Mineral Exploration British Columbia (AMEBC) notes that; “The Sheslay area, located in northwestern British Columbia, is one of the most promising grassroots mineral exploration areas in Canada, and this highly prospective area has been explored for many years by a number of companies.”

The Hackett property adjoins the eastern border of the Hat property, owned by Doubleview Capital Corp. (“Doubleview”). The Hackett property is interpreted to be underlain by volcanic-sedimentary assemblages and intrusive rocks of the Stuhini Group. Exploration continues at Doubleview’s Hat property with the discovery of the Lisle Zone in 2014. Doubleview’s website reports; “The known Lisle zone (currently 500m x 1000m) occurs near the southeastern edge of the Hat complex and suggests a potential to host several similar size mineralized porphyry bodies in Anomaly E, A, C, D and the least explored “Hoey zone”, all of which remain to be investigated.” Glacier Lake cautions readers the presence of copper mineralization on the Hat Property is not necessarily indicative of similar mineralization on the Hackett Property.

The western border of the Hackett property is less than a kilometre away from Doubleview’s Lisle Zone, and the “Hoey Zone” is located near Big Creek on the boundary with the Hat property. A limited exploration program conducted in 2014 (assessment file #34955) returned strongly anomalous gold and copper values in rock grab samples, from oxidized mineralized showings from the western flank of the Hackett property. Two east-west trending mineralized occurrences were discovered in an area of limited exposure. The initial discovery mineral showing (sample numbers 16846 and 16847) returned 24 and 594 parts per billion (“ppb”) gold, and 598 and 2970 parts per million (“ppm”) copper, respectively.  Approximately 150 meters upstream on Big Creek from the discovery showing, another strongly oxidized showing returned 128 ppb gold and 935 ppm copper. The Company considers these initial sample values very significant, representing the first anomalous gold and copper values returned from the Hackett property and further feel they may represent the extension of porphyry style mineralization indicated in surface sampling and diamond drill holes on the contiguous Doubleview Hat property. Glacier Lake cautions investors it has yet to verify the Hackett property exploration data.

The North Wolverine property is located approximately 6 kilometers southwest of the southern boundary of the Hackett property and is completely surrounded by Garibaldi Resources Ltd.’s large Grizzly property. The Wolverine showing (Minfile 104J 059) is located on the southern boundary of the North Wolverine property, lying along the Golden Bear Mine Road. Excerpts from the Minfile report include:

“Mineralization consists of pods or perhaps disrupted veins of massive pyrite and chalcopyrite which occur in fault gouge cutting a microcrystalline, marginal phase of the diorite. The largest segment of vein consists of massive pyrite and chalcopyrite and is approximately 8 metres long. It yielded from less than 34 to up to 154 grams per tonne gold over a 0.4 metre width. Several smaller segments of massive pyrite yielded grades up to 16 grams per tonne gold, however, others are only weakly anomalous or barren (Assessment Report 20945, page 17). The segments of veins have been found only within the trenched areas of the main showing.”

Amarc Resources Ltd. 2004 exploration activities outlined multiple gold and copper soil anomalies north of the Wolverine Showing which are now within the North Wolverine property. Glacier Lake cautions investors it has yet to verify the North Wolverine property exploration data.

“We are very pleased to increase our growing property portfolio with the addition of these exciting assets in B.C.’s prolific Golden Triangle region,” says Saf Dhillon, President/CEO. “We plan to further evaluate other projects within Canada and abroad as we await our assays from our Phase I drilling at Silver Vista, B.C. The assays are being held in the ALS Labs until all samples have been collected, tested and then they will be released in their entirety. The Company is planning a summer exploration program on the Hackett and North Wolverine properties consisting of property reconnaissance, prospecting and sampling. The objective of the first-pass program is to verify the documented mineral showings, follow-up the soil anomalies and prospect favourable areas.”

In consideration for the claim blocks, Glacier Lake will complete a cash payment of $20,000 and issue three million common shares. Completion of the acquisition is subject to the approval of the TSX Venture Exchange. All common shares issued will be subject to a four-month-and-one-day statutory hold period

Northern Sphere: A True Discount to Market

Northern Sphere’s tight share structure of 28.7 million shares at .05c gives it a paltry $1.5 million market cap when compared to the value that lays on the ground at both its properties. NSM’s outstanding exploration properties are on the verge of demonstrating their true value to the market through ongoing exploration efforts at Buckeye and Scadding respectively. The company benefits from a solid share base of industry professionals with proven investment success who share the belief NSM has district scale discovery potential.  The company trades on the CSE under NSM.

$GLI.ca Glacier Lake Completes Phase 1 Drill Program at Silver Vista $IVN.ca

Posted by AGORACOM at 10:10 AM on Monday, March 26th, 2018

  • Initial drill program focused on the “MR” area, a clastic sediment-hosted, fine-grained, disseminated copper-silver zone
  • Seven (7) holes, totaling 1,273 metres were completed
  • 2 deeper holes (average depth 282.4 meters) drilled southeast to northwest
  • 5 shallower holes with an average depth (142.0 meters) drilled northwest to southeast

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, March 26, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Glacier Lake Resources Inc. (TSX-V:GLI) (“Glacier” or the “Company”) has completed the Phase 1 diamond drill program on its Silver Vista property near Smithers, British Columbia. This initial drill program was focused on the main “MR” showing, a clastic sediment-hosted, fine-grained, disseminated copper-silver zone. The core for Hole SV18-01 has been sent to the ALS Minerals laboratory in North Vancouver, B.C. with results to be released once received and reviewed.

Seven (7) holes, totaling 1,273 metres were completed. Glacier’s program represents the first drilling on the Silver Vista property since the 1991-1992 Equity Silver Mines Ltd. (a division of Placer Dome Inc., now Barrick Gold Corp.) program of 14 holes, totaling 1,252.5 metres.  The 2018 program comprised two deeper holes (average depth 282.4 meters) drilled southeast to northwest and five shallower holes (average depth (142.0 meters) drilled northwest to southeast, testing mineralization in the historic Equity drill holes, and/or soil and rock Ag and Cu surface geochemistry from the 2011 to 2013 Amarc Resources Ltd., surface programs.

The drilling indicates a moderate, north to northwest dip to the sedimentary units. Visible mineralization is not obvious, so Glacier employed a portable XRF unit to aid in identification of mineralized zones to assist in drilling of subsequent holes. Elevated levels of silver, copper and zinc were noted in multiple horizons within the drill holes.  Glacier Lake cautions investors the XRF readings were used only to direct subsequent drilling and only analyses from the North Vancouver ALS Minerals laboratory will be reported and relied on by the Company.

Upon receipt and review of the assay data from the 2018 drill program, Company geologists will plan and budget a surface program to start after spring break-up. While the main “MR” road-cut showing is the most advanced target, Amarc 2011 to 2013 soil geochemistry outlined an area of anomalous Ag and Cu approximately 1.5 kilometres by 2.0 kilometres around the MR prospect area. This area had multiple Ag and Cu soil geochemical anomalies also defined.

Further details can be found in the 43-101 report on the property located under the Company’s SEDAR profile.

Quality assurance/quality control

The entire length of core for each of the 7 drill holes are currently being sawn and sampled at continuous 1.0 metre intervals, with occasional shorter or longer intervals based on apparent wall rock and mineralization contact. Supervision, organization and splitting of drilling core samples are undertaken by personnel from geological consultant Mammoth Geological Ltd. Half of the core will be securely shipped to the laboratory for analysis and the other half retained in a secure storage location. Certified reference standards and blanks will be placed in the sample stream of each drill hole alternating at every 25th interval. Samples were packed into rice bags, zap-strapped and securely stored until they were turned over to the local trucking company for transport to the ALS Minerals Laboratory in North Vancouver, B.C.

All core samples will be analyzed utilizing ALS’s MEICP-61 procedure, a four-acid digestion of a one-gram sample with an ICP finish. Samples with over limit copper or silver values will receive an ME-OG62 analysis, a four-acid digestion of a 0.5-gram sample with ICP-AES finish.

A routine quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) procedure is adopted to monitor the analytical quality at the lab. Certified reference materials (CRMs), pulp duplicates and blanks are inserted into each lab batch of samples. QA/QC data at the lab are attached to the assay certificates for each batch of samples.

Further details can be found in the recently completed 43-101 report on the property located under the Company’s SEDAR profile.

The Company also wishes to clarify the finders’ fees which were paid in connection with completion of its private placement of units announced on March 19, 2018.  In connection with closing of the placement, the Company paid cash commissions of $31,807.20, issued 258,920 common share purchase warrants (each, a “Warrant”), and 259,200 finders’ options (each, a “Finders’ Option”).  Each “Warrant” entitles the holder to acquire a common share of the Company at a price of $0.10 for a period of twenty-four months, subject to accelerated expiry in the event the closing price of the Company’s common shares on the TSX Venture Exchange is $0.25 or higher for ten consecutive trading days.  Each “Finders’ Option” entitles the holder to acquire a unit of the Company consisting of one common share and one Warrant, at a price of $0.06 for a period of twenty-four months.

All Warrants and Finders’ Options issued in connection with the placement are subject to a four-month-and-one-day statutory hold period.

Subject to approval from the TSX Venture Exchange, the Company will grant 500,000 incentive stock options to certain directors, officers and consultants of the Company. The options vest immediately and are exercisable at a price of $0.09 per share for a period of 5 years. The options are granted pursuant to the Company’s Stock Option Plan and will be subject to applicable regulatory hold periods.

  • Final option payment for its Keymet Precious – Base Metal Property, located near Bathurst, northeast New Brunswick
  • Seven vein occurrences with lead, zinc and +/- copper, silver and gold are reported in this region of the property
  • The Keymet Property is approximately 4 km north of the historic Nigadoo River Mine of which copper, lead, zinc and silver production from polymetallic veins occurred during the 1960s – 1970s.

Vancouver, British Columbia (FSCwire)GREAT ATLANTIC RESOURCES CORP. (TSXV.GR) (the “Company” or “Great Atlantic”) is pleased to announce it has made the final option payment for its Keymet Precious – Base Metal Property, located near Bathurst, northeast New Brunswick. The property is reported to host numerous base metal – precious metal bearing veins including the historic Keymet Mine. The Company recently intersected mineralized veins northwest of the historic Keymet Mine including an intersection of 18.80% Zn, 3.55% Cu, 1.16 % Pb and 576 grams / tonne (g/t) Ag over 1.27 meters core length in a newly discovered vein and 3.54% Zn, 0.92% Cu and 115 g/t Ag over 12.05 meter core length plus 0.64 g/t Au over 19.96 meter core length in a newly discovered gold bearing zone (News Releases of December 20, 2017 and March 2, 2018). The Keymet Property is approximately 4 km north of the historic Nigadoo River Mine of which copper, lead, zinc and silver production from polymetallic veins occurred during the 1960s – 1970s.

To view the graphic in its original size, please click here

The Company’s focus since acquiring the Keymet Property has been the northwest region of the property. At least seven vein occurrences with lead, zinc and +/- copper, silver and gold are reported in this region of the property in addition to the polymetallic veins reported at the historic Keymet Mine (source: New Brunswick Dept. of Energy and Resource Development Mineral Occurrence Database). The Keymet Mine operated during the mid-1950s, producing copper, lead, zinc and silver.  Production at this mine was terminated due to a fire at the site.

Great Atlantic has explored two of these vein occurrences, the Elmtree 12 and Elmtree Silver Mine veins and adjacent areas, northwest of the historic Keymet Mine. A 20 meter deep shaft is reported at the Elmtree Silver Mine vein. A Qualified Person has located this shaft for Great Atlantic. Great Atlantic has intersected copper, lead, zinc and silver bearing veins at both the Elmtree 12 and Elmtree Silver Mine vein occurrences during 2015 and 2017 diamond drilling programs (9 total holes) with more significant results at the Elmtree 12 vein occurrence. Trenching at the Elmtree 12 vein occurrence also exposed such polymetallic veins. Gold mineralization was also locally intersected in host meta-sedimentary rocks in the general area of the Elmtree 12 vein occurrence. A Qualified Person has verified this 2015 and 2017 exploration data for Great Atlantic. The Qualified Person managed the 2015 and 2017 exploration programs for Great Atlantic at the Keymet Property. True thickness of these intersections is unknown at this time.

Diamond drilling to date by the Company has been shallow with all but one hole less than 100 meter vertical depth and one hole to approximately 170 meter vertical depth. Planned 2018 diamond drilling will test both the Elmtree 12 vein system and newly discovered vein in Ky-17-8 along strike and at depth. -Drilling is also planned to test the continuation of the newly discovered gold zone intersected in hole Ky-17-6.

Arsenopyrite bearing metasediment boulder samples collected by Company prospectors in 2011 approximately 1.5 km northwest of the historic Keymet Mine were reported to return up to 51 g/t Au (News Release of March 2, 2012). A Qualified Person has not verified this sample data. This is the general area of the Elmtree 12 vein occurrence.

Additional gold occurrences are reported within the Keymet Property as per the New Brunswick Dept. of Energy and Resource Development Mineral Occurrence Database.  Two of these gold occurrences are reported in the east region of the Keymet Property.  Another gold occurrence, referred to as the Alcida East occurrence, is reported in the west region of the property. Historic samples from the Alcida East occurrence are reported up to 4.3 g/t Au. Two additional gold occurrences are reported near the west boundary of the property, possibly being west of the Keymet Property. A Qualified Person has not verified any of these gold occurrences. The Company’s focus to data has been the northwest area of the property, northwest of the historic Keymet Mine

Significant precious metal – base metals deposits are reported within 4 km of the Keymet Property. The Elmtree gold deposits are located within 3 km west-southwest of the Keymet Property. A historic mineral resource estimate for the Elmtree gold deposits was reported in 2011 with 294,000 ounces of gold in the indicated + inferred categories reported (0.5 g/t Au cutoff) (source: Murahwi, et al., effective date March 4, 2011 for Micon International Limited, CNRP Mining Inc. and Gorilla Resources Corp.).

The historic Nigadoo River Mine is located approximately 4 km south of the Keymet Property. Polymetallic massive sulfide veins were mined at the Nigadoo River Mine during the 1960s and 1970s with copper, lead, zinc and silver being produced. The N.B Dept. of Energy and Resource Development Mineral Occurrence Database reports shaft depth and production totals at this historic mine. Production during 1967 – 1971 is reported as 1.126 million tonnes at 2.2% Pb, 2.1% Zn, 0.24% Cu and 92.57 g/t Ag. Production during 1973 – 1977 (after a 2 year closure) is reported to be 0.733 million tonnes (only partial metal grades reported). The shaft is reported to at least 470 meter depth.

Readers are warned that mineralization at the Elmtree gold deposits and historic Nigadoo Brook Mine is not necessarily indicative of mineralization on the Keymet Property.

Access to the Keymet Property is excellent with paved roads transecting the property, including a provincial highway. The property covers an area of approximately 3,400 hectares.

FEATURE: $AAO.ca Why Augusta Industries is an under valued company

Posted by AGORACOM at 1:43 PM on Thursday, March 15th, 2018

Augusta Industries Subsidiary FOX-TEK Canada Inc is a rare Gem of a tech company where its technology, potential and capabilities are undervalued and therefore discounted. Investors don’t seem to appreciate that FOX TEK is making great strides with its available resources while developing industry disruptive technology capable of meeting current value expectations. The patient investor understands and values a company that is creating new and disruptive technological tools

Sales and revenue evaluation of a company is great when you are invested in GE, FORD, GM, IBM and Apple, but the real value missed here by a few shareholders is what FOX-TEK’s engineers are able to create. FOX TEK first started with the FT Systems as its sole technology and below is living proof of what FOX-TEK has been able to create.

1) Electric Field Mapping (EFM) Corrosion monitor

Used predominately to measure, with great accuracy, the material loss in pipelines and vessels due to corrosion/erosion. The technology has been successfully used as a validation of existing integrity programs. The technology can also be used in research and material testing applications.

2) Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) System

Technology based on optical strain sensors. These sensors are inherently safe (due to the fact that the sensors are powered by light) and easy to use. Due to the high bandwidth of the sensors, they can also be used to measure vibrations. There many applications in both the oil & gas sector and civil infrastructure where these sensors can bring a benefit.

3) FG-OD

Novel non intrusive leak detection technology used to detect leaks in pipelines and vessels. Due to its high sensitivity, the sensor cable can also detect VOC due to leaks.  By using smart detection levels and adapting to its environment, this technology will generate zero false alarms.

4) Advanced Sensor Design

Advanced intrusive optical sensor that will, over time, change its optical characteristics when in the presence of various elements. Can be used in applications where specific trace elements can lead to a negative impact on normal operating conditions.

5) Currently as per FOX-TEK’s last Press release, working to develop a new technology to measure the ingress of damaging liquids under insulation/coating. This LOI is indicative of the confidence major parties involved have in the burgeoning technology, be it Federal, Provincial Academic or Business.

GGX Gold Corp. (TSXV: GGX), has completed the first three holes of the 2018 Phase III Diamond Drilling program on the Gold Drop Property near Greenwood, BC. The program currently underway is targeting the COD Vein in the Gold Drop Southwest Zone.

The first three holes of the current program have now been successfully completed for a total of 212.45 meters. These holes were designed to further delineate the COD vein at depth.

The holes were stepped back from the 2017 pads to target the vein at depth.

DDCOD18-1 – intersected a 2.81 m Mineralized Zone which includes a 1.2 meter Vein intercept

DDCOD18-2 – intersected a 4.3 m Mineralized Zone which includes 2.92 meters of veining and alternation further at a depth of down the hole was a 7.5 altered shear zone that was erratically mineralized.

DDCOD18-3 – intersected a 6.64 m Mineralized Zone which includes 2.33 Meters of veining and alteration

The Gold Drop Project is located 40 km from Grand Forks, British Columbia in geologically prospective ground in the well-mineralized Greenwood District. GGX Gold saw a very successful season in 2017 and has extensive plans to follow up in 2018. The Phase III drilling program of up to 1000 Meters is being designed to follow up on data obtained from the 2017 drill program that consisted of approximately 1500 M. The 2017 program was drilled along the COD Vein which was previously exposed in trenching accompanied with channel sampling. The current drill sites for phase III are at various locations along the previously exposed COD vein and Additionally, new drill sites have also been spotted for locations to the north and south of the exposed COD vein. These areas have yet to be trenched, however the company has recently identified gold anomalies in soils and is permitted for 850M of trenching. (Soils -News Release–Jan-10-18)
