Posted by AGORACOM-JC at 9:40 AM on Friday, December 14th, 2018
  • Virginia-based connected health provider Creo Wellness, LLC (confirm the companies have committed to integrate CardioComm’s ECG monitoring service technologies and ECG devices to support the CREO physician network’s management of patients and enhance the services offered through the CREO patient engagement platform
  • ECG technology integration across CREO’s platform to be launched in 2019

Toronto, Ontario–(December 14, 2018) – CardioComm Solutions, Inc. (TSXV: EKG) (“CardioComm” or the “Company” or “CCS“), a leading global provider of consumer heart monitoring and electrocardiogram (“ECG“) acquisition and management software solutions, and Virginia-based connected health provider Creo Wellness, LLC (“CREO“) confirm the companies have committed to integrate CardioComm’s ECG monitoring service technologies and ECG devices to support the CREO physician network’s management of patients and enhance the services offered through the CREO patient engagement platform.

CREO developed and supports its home-based, physician-directed patient care software platform to improve the health outcomes of its patients. CREO selected CardioComm as a preferred ECG services solutions provider to enhance its patient care software platform, specifically CardioComm’s over-the-counter (“OTC“) HeartCheck™ handheld ECG devices, and its traditional ECG monitoring services, such as Holter, resting 12 lead and 14 day event monitoring.

CREO’s platform is currently used by many employers, hospital and physician groups who collectively manage up to 300,000 patients each month. CREO estimates that the number of managed patients per month using its platform will triple to 900,000 by 2020.

CardioComm will integrate its GEMS™ Mobile Smartphone app into CREO’s existing mobile application and workflow to support the option to record an ECG at any time. All ECG’s will be managed through CardioComm’s cloud-based GEMS™ Flex software. All ECGs will be ready by the Company’s SMART Monitoring ECG reading service. CREO will be notified of any reviewed ECGs with abnormalities. The ECGs will also be flagged for remote review by the patient’s physician based on the severity of the abnormality found.

The partnership between CREO and CCS will bring new product offerings to the USA market in early 2019. For CardioComm Solutions, this will generate multiple new revenue streams resulting from the licensing of CardioComm’s GEMS™ cloud and Smart phone app ECG management tools, the purchase of GEMS™ compatible OTC and Rx ECG devices and a fee-for-use based on CardioComm’s SMART Monitoring ECG reading service. CREO will place the devices into their patient care software platform, which will be prescribed through CREO member physicians. Use of these devices will generate revenue through the provision of ECG readings under established USA Current Procedural Terminology (“CPT“) codes. CREO will manage all CPT code billings for the ECG services performed. CPT codes are maintained by the American Medical Association to provide information about medical services and procedures among physicians, coders, patients, accreditation organizations and payers.

All ECGs will be managed by CardioComm’s cloud-based GEMS™ Flex software where all ECGs will be interpreted by the Company’s SMART Monitoring ECG reading service. CREO will be notified of any reviewed ECGs with abnormalities which will be flagged for remote review by the patient’s physician in accordance with the severity of the abnormality found.

Both companies expect that at least 30% of CREO patients will require ECG monitoring ranging from routine baseline recordings to regular daily monitoring for prolonged periods of time. The first phase of technology integration is expected to be completed in Q1 2019, followed by the full launch of the ECG services across the CREO platform.

  • New service will operate programmatic advertising requirements for AIM’s Travel Elite clients and to advertisers requiring digital planning and buying. Authorised Investment Fund (ASX: AIY)
  • Revealed that one of its investee companies, Asian Integrated Media (AIM), is making strong headway in the US$60 billion (A$83 billion) programmatic advertising sector.

The new service will operate programmatic advertising requirements for AIM’s Travel Elite clients and to advertisers requiring digital planning and buying. Authorised Investment Fund (ASX: AIY) has revealed that one of its investee companies, Asian Integrated Media (AIM), is making strong headway in the US$60 billion (A$83 billion) programmatic advertising sector.

AIM has struck a deal with Ambient Digital Group to form a joint venture offering its bespoke digital planning and buying to advertisers throughout south-east Asia.

The announcement follows on from the company’s move into programmatic advertising, previously announced in August.

Programmatic advertising is a term used in digital marketing to describe computer-based automated buying, selling, placement, and optimisation of digital advertising. In contrast to traditional advertising, programmatic ad buying involves the use of non-human software machines to purchase digital ads.

As it stands, Authorised Investment Fund owns a 25% interest in AIM with an option to increase its holding to 30% at any time over the next 3 years.

The company first committed to acquiring a major stake in AIM in April this year, after identifying AIM as one of the world’s leading media sales representation networks that could both diversify and amplify its broader investment portfolio.

The power of AIM

AIM has an expansive team working in Hong Kong, Singapore and Beijing with a worldwide affiliate network of sales agents in all the key cities in Europe, Asia and the US.

The deal between AIM and Ambient, offers a variety of synergies including geographical market reach, addressable audience and sharing mutually beneficial technology.

AIM has confirmed the newly-created service will operate the programmatic requirements of AIM’s Travel Elite clients and to advertisers requiring “specialist, bespoke digital planning and buying requirements”.

The rapid growth of programmatic advertising.

Currently, Ambient Digital is one of the largest independent digital companies in south-east Asia providing a range of marketing and media solutions delivering the entire range of digital media products to mobile and desktop via programmatic technology platforms.

Ambient has a turnover of around US$17 million (A$23.5 million) but hopes the deal with AIM will provide a significant boost to its bottom-line given the strong focus on providing next-generation advertising capabilities to its clients.

The operation currently has over 200 digital and media experts working in across Asia and providing campaigns on all digital devices including PCs and mobiles.

One of its key aims is to expand what it calls its “one-stop-shop for compelling universal digital campaigns”.

Ambient benefit

Ambient Digital provides services to advertisers in six major South East Asian markets with a combined reach of 580 million people in peak growth countries such as Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Myanmar and Singapore.

Additionally, with over 100 connections to global demand partners, Ambient Digital’s tie-up with AIM is expected to provide a global marketplace for publishers. With over 4 billion monthly impressions and 200 million active internet users across 5 countries, the joint venture with AIM is forecast to provide “a perfect union to propel revenue opportunities and support solid capital growth,” according to AIM.

A partnership with AIM could potentially propel the company to greater heights given that AIM is the exclusive partner of several global airlines such as Cathay Pacific, Qantas, Singapore Airlines, and Emirates; as well as newspaper giants Handelsblatt in Germany and Daily Mail in the UK.

Some of its other notable partners include the Hong Kong Tourism Board, Robb Report China and Richesse.

Providing the best international sales representation for premium media, AIM is highly selective in the titles and platforms it represents with its key portfolio in the travel and luxury lifestyle segments.

According to AIM, by combining its industry experience, longstanding client relationships and a strong network of sales offices ensures it can deliver the maximum level of advertising revenue for its multifaceted media partners.

“We have been working with the Ambient Digital Group for some months now and to be able to provide these exceptional services to our clients who are increasingly looking to reach elite audiences through digital platforms we can now provide bespoke solutions,” said Peter Jeffery, CEO and Founder of Asian Integrated Media.

“It will enable us to harness and capture the opportunities of the programmatic advertising sector as it continues to grow from US$60billion in revenues worldwide. It is envisaged that this joint venture will provide a solid platform for us to drive considerable additional revenues and build substantial and solid capital growth for both Ambient and AIM,” said Mr Jeffery.

Own A Brand? Why You Should Pay Attention To Programmatic In 2019

Ofer Garnett

CTO & Co-Founder of mobile growth marketing platform YouAppi, bringing nearly 20 years of R&D experience to make mobile engaging.

Digital advertising has grown steadily over the last two decades with no signs of slowing. As consumers shift to mobile, brands have digitally migrated.

Currently, over 80% of all digital display ad spending in the U.S. is programmatic, and those numbers are expected to increase. Programmatic advertising is done by computer systems that automate the process of buying, selling and optimizing ad placements on digital media. Advances in machine learning and smart algorithms have proven far more reliable than humans in determining ideal timing and location to reach a desired audience. Where the focus used to be on finding websites that generally attracted the same audience as your product, programmatic allows you to drill down on an individual’s digital behavior and place an ad in front of the eyes most likely to engage.

But if you think programmatic advertising is best left to your marketing department, think again. Reaching consumers digitally has never been more important — or more challenging. Deeply segmented platforms, shifting consumer preferences, stricter privacy laws, and increasing expectations of more direct, personalized and highly relevant ad content make it harder than ever to reach your customer at the right time and place with the right message. Programmatic looks to be the key to driving meaningful digital engagement in 2019, with several promising trends.

Technology Will Address Current Market Challenges

Most programmatic ad spend is done in real time via real-time bidding (RTB), which buys ad inventory on a per-impression basis and works much like financial market trading. The prominent protocol is OpenRTB, and it’s had its fair share of critics. As the ecosystem has grown, it’s become increasingly problematic for brands to trust the data, protect themselves from fraud and maintain brand integrity and safety.

A new version, OpenRTB 3.0, has finished beta and is expected to release before the end of 2018. This is the most significant overhaul of OpenRTB since its inception in 2010, and it delivers enhanced visibility into the process of programmatic buying and selling. I expect adoption of the 3.0 protocol to be significant throughout 2019, as brands are eager for greater transparency and clarity. OpenRTB 3.0 is not backward compatible, however. Significant effort from all participating parties in programmatic — buying systems, selling systems and the exchanges — will be required to make this migration. Whether you oversee your company’s marketing or not, it’s important to understand the direction of the technology in order to ensure your ad dollars are spent in the smartest and safest way possible.   Source: https://www.forbes.com/sites/forbestechcouncil/2018/12/06/own-a-brand-why-you-should-pay-attention-to-programmatic-in-2019/#6b2c36d3175e

#Copper climbs to one-week high on #China demand hopes $LBSR $TMBXF $MIN.ca

Posted by AGORACOM-JC at 11:06 AM on Monday, October 22nd, 2018

  • Copper prices climbed to one-week highs on Monday due to expectations of stronger demand after authorities in top consumer China said they would take measures aimed at bolstering growth and liquidity
  • Benchmark copper on the London Metal Exchange was up 1.2 percent at $6,292 a tonne at 0919 GMT from an earlier $6,331.50 a tonne, the highest since Oct. 15.

Imaduddin October 22, 2018

LONDON: Copper prices climbed to one-week highs on Monday due to expectations of stronger demand after authorities in top consumer China said they would take measures aimed at bolstering growth and liquidity.

Benchmark copper on the London Metal Exchange was up 1.2 percent at $6,292 a tonne at 0919 GMT from an earlier $6,331.50 a tonne, the highest since Oct. 15.

China’s central bank governor said last week it would roll out targeted measures to help ease company financing problems and encourage commercial banks to boost lending to private firms.

“The news from China is encouraging for metals,” said Eugen Weinberg, analyst at Commerzbank. “Measures that add liquidity will help in the short to medium term, but it won’t solve the problem of indebtedness, a problem for some years now.”

CHINA TAX: China’s tax cuts next year could exceed the equivalent of 1 percent of gross domestic product, a central bank adviser said, in a sign policymakers might be considering another round of tax reductions.

GROWTH: China’s economic growth cooled to its weakest quarterly pace since the global financial crisis, with regulators moving quickly to calm nervous investors as a years-long campaign to tackle debt risks and the trade war with the United States began to bite.

DEMAND: China accounts for about half of global copper demand estimated this year at around 24 million tonnes.

China is “multiplying its efforts to support the economy, and in particular, the infrastructure sector amid domestic and international headwinds,” such as the trade war with the United States and high debt levels, Fitch Solutions said in a note.

The country’s demand for copper, an economic bellwether, “will improve over the coming months as property completions and grid investment picks up and demand from the autos and consumer sectors remain buoyant,” added the research house.

TECHNICALS: Strong upside resistance for copper is at the 100-day moving average, currently at around $6,320 and support is at $6,115, the 55-day moving average.

STOCKS: Traders say significantly higher copper prices in China could encourage further outflows from LME approved warehouses to those monitored by the Shanghai Futures Exchange.

LME copper stocks at 154,225 tonnes have tumbled 27 percent since Sept. 24, while those in ShFE warehouses are up about 27 percent over the same period to 140,789 tonnes.

PRICES: Aluminium was up 1.2 percent at $2,028, zinc  gained 1.3 percent to $2,660, lead added 1.4 percent to $2,020, tin rose 0.1 percent to $19,190 and nickel was up 1.4 percent to $12,615 a tonne.

No. 1 Wall Street #pot analyst says the #marijuana market will be much bigger than she first thought $BOG.ca $NBUD.ca $MCOA $APPB

Posted by AGORACOM-JC at 10:53 AM on Friday, October 12th, 2018
  • The cannabis industry’s rapid evolution and new strategic partnerships with mainstream brands reveal a far larger possible market for legal marijuana than investors and analysts first anticipated, according to Cowen.
  • Cowen’s Vivien Azer nearly triples her 12-month price forecast on Canadian marijuana producer Tilray this week to $172 from $62.
  • Recreational use of cannabis in Canada becomes legal Oct. 17, though each of the country’s 10 provinces will be able to regulate the market within their jurisdiction.

Wall Street’s top pot analyst says marijuana market will be much bigger than she first thought   23 Hours Ago | 00:58

With Canada about to legalize recreational use of marijuana, the industry’s rapid evolution and new strategic partnerships with mainstream brands reveal a far larger possible market for pot than investors and analysts first anticipated, according to Cowen.

“With cannabis, you’re talking about this massive step change in terms of the addressable market,” Vivien Azer said on CNBC’s “Squawk Box” on Wednesday. “You’re bringing a $7 billion illicit market into the legal market and so it does require a different valuation framework.”

Azer, the only pot analyst from a major Wall Street research house, nearly tripled her 12-month price forecast on Canadian marijuana producer Tilray this week to $172 from $62. The new target for the stock, which trades in the U.S. on the Nasdaq, implies more than 30 percent upside from current levels. She also upped her forecast on Canadian pot company Canopy Growth.

Supply remains critical issues for cannabis companies, says analyst   8:17 AM ET Wed, 10 Oct 2018 | 01:51

Just how big the market will get is tough to put a number on right now, but Azer cites a cannabis executive who estimated the market could be one day worth $500 billion.

“Our broader, big picture view of cannabis goes beyond the adult use launch in Canada,” she wrote in a report this week. “Rather, we believe this is the first step toward the establishment of cannabis as a key functional ingredient touching multiple consumer categories with four key verticals: adult use, beauty and nutraceuticals, OTC pain and sleep, and pharmaceuticals.”

Recreational use of cannabis in Canada becomes legal Oct. 17, though each of the country’s 10 provinces will be able to regulate the market within their jurisdiction independent of Ottawa.

While it’s still early days for the marijuana business, the first signs of its broader applications are easily recognized.

Tilray shares, which are up more than 650 percent since their July IPO, posted one of their best days ever mid-September after the company announced approval from the Drug Enforcement Administration to import weed to the U.S. for medical research.

In a move likely foreshadowing broader pharmaceutical application, the company will work with the University of California San Diego Center for Medicinal Cannabis Research to study the safety, tolerability and efficacy of marijuana for a neurological disorder.

“If this study can identify cannabinoids as a potential treatment for patients suffering from essential tremor, we can conduct further research and potentially provide alternative effective methods of relief for the high numbers of patients with Essential Tremor,” said Catherine Jacobson, director of clinical research at Tilray.

The globe’s major alcohol companies have also wasted no time exploring joint ventures with a handful of lucky cannabis producers.

Alcohol vs. Cannabis use in the U.S.

Constellation Brands recently increased its investment in Canopy Growth with a 9.9 percent stake in the company, granting the Corona beer brewer a foothold in an industry it expects to soon be legal in the United States.

“We think that we’re by far the best company in the world — or in the best position in the world of any company — to capitalize on what is absolutely without a doubt going to be a huge market over the next 10 years, hundreds of billions of dollars,” Constellation CEO Robert Sands said in the company’s earnings call Thursday.

“We expect to reap the benefits of our cannabis investment, which we see as being incremental to our core beer, wine and spirits portfolio,” he added.

Richard Lautens | Toronto Star | Getty Images
Dried plants are processed and trimmed by hand. A a state-of-the-art fully automated medical marijuana production facility is in a nondescript building in Scarborough.

And while the upside for Constellation appears obvious, the benefit is two-fold. A check from one of the world’s largest brewers is a welcome influx of capital for a handful of companies whose success will likely be defined by their ability to raise capital and scale production.

“Given the nascent stage of global cannabis, we believe that revenue growth should serve as the primary valuation methodology,” Cowen’s Azer said in her note. Specifically, Azer said her primary measurement when drawing price estimates is enterprise value divided by sales, divided by revenue growth, akin to a traditional price/earnings growth ratio.

Some Wall Street firms cover the pot stocks, but none the size of Cowen. It’s still an emerging industry.

To be sure, the spike in certain pot stocks — combined with a limited count of floating shares for some companies — has left stocks like Tilray and Canopy with lofty valuations and rampant volatility.

Tilray has about 93 million shares outstanding, but the float — those shares actually available for trading — is just 21 million, according to FactSet.

Tilray’s 2020 P/E ratio, meanwhile, is currently 300; Canopy’s is 125. Tilray’s stock price has posted no less than 12 days of double-digit moves on percentage basis in the last month.

“There have been no shortage of recent catalysts to spur market and investor interest,” Azer said. “As such, volatility should be seen as a natural occurrence in the cannabis market, and not dissimilar to other nascent industries.”

Augusta Provides Updates

    • FOX-TEK’s Clean Growth Program was not on the 100 asked to proceed to the next stage.
    • It was identified, at the expert evaluation stage, as being a project having substantial merit
    •  Augusta’s annual and special shareholders’ meeting was held on July 11, 2018

Toronto, Ontario–(Newsfile Corp. – July 16, 2018) – Augusta Industries Inc. (TSXV: AAO) (the “Corporation”), a developer and marketer of patented non-intrusive sensing systems, would like to provide a general update.

Clean Growth Program Further to its press release of March 5, 2018, the Corporation reports that the letter of intent that was submitted by its wholly owned subsidiary, Fox-Tek Canada Inc. (“Fox-Tek”), to the Green Growth Program was not chosen as one of the 100 proposals to proceed to the full project proposal stage.

The Clean Growth Program covers five areas focused on pressing environmental challenges and economic opportunities facing Canada’s natural resource operations:

  • Reducing greenhouse gas and air-polluting emissions.
  • Minimizing landscape disturbances and improving waste management.
  • The production and use of advanced materials and bio-products.
  • Efficient energy use and productivity.
  • Reducing water use and impacts on aquatic ecosystems.

The program received approximately 750 proposals and of these, only 400 proposals were selected for expert evaluation, of which Fox-Tek’s proposal, which was focused on landscape disturbances and waste management in the energy sector, was one of those chosen. Of the 400 proposals, only 100 were invited to participate in the full project proposal stage. Due to the high number of quality submissions received by the Clean Growth Program, Fox-Tek’s proposal was not on the 100 asked to proceed to the next stage.

Although the Fox-Tek proposal will not be participating in the full project proposal stage, it was identified, at the expert evaluation stage, as being a project having substantial merit. As such, the Clean Growth Program has notified Fox-Tek that it will be introducing the company’s proposal to the Clean Growth Hub and other federal and/or provincial programs with the intention of securing government funding to proceed with its proposal.

  • Assays returned for holes COD18-17 to COD18-26 which tested the COD Vein
  • Hole COD18-21 returned 6.36g/t gold, 50.8g/t silver and 45.5g/t tellurium over 0.87 meter core length in hole COD18-21
  • Hole COD18-26 returned 10.3g/t gold over a 2.35 meter interval

Vancouver, British Columbia (FSCwire)GGX Gold Corp. (TSX-V: GGX), (OTCQB: GGXXF), (FRA: 3SR2) (the “Company” or “GGX”) is pleased to announce the receipt of the additional analytical results from the winter-spring diamond drilling program on the Gold Drop property, located near Greenwood, B.C. Drill core analytical results have been received for 2018 drill holes COD18-17 to COD18-26 which tested the COD Vein. Highlights from these analytical results include 6.36 grams per tonne (g/t) gold, 50.8 g/t silver and 45.5 g/t tellurium over 0.87 meter core length in hole COD18-21 and 10.3 g/t gold over a 2.35 meter interval (1.4 meters actual recovered core from the 2.35 m Interval) in hole COD18-26.

Drill hole COD18-26 intersected gold bearing veins approximately 30 meters southwest of the 2017 trench. This hole was drilled approximately 100 meters southwest of 2017 drill hole COD17-14. Hole COD17-14 intersected the 4.59 g/t gold over 16.03 meters, including 10.96 g/t gold over 5.97 meters (News Release of September 7, 2017).

The ongoing diamond drill program is being conducted in the Gold Drop Southwest Zone, testing and defining the COD Vein, a Dentonia/Jewel style quartz vein. Drilling is also ongoing at a separate gold bearing vein in this region, referred to as the Everest Vein. Previous drill core analytical results from the 2018 drilling program are reported in News Releases of May 29, June 4 and June 27. The highlight of the 2018 drilling program to date is 14.62 g/t gold, 150.2 g/t silver and 102.0 g/t tellurium over 2.1 meter core length in hole COD18-3 at the COD Vein. Trenching during 2017 exposed the northeast – southwest striking COD Vein for over 160 meter strike length.

The analytical results listed below are highlights from holes DDCOD18-17 to DDCOD18-26, testing the COD Vein. Since true widths cannot be accurately determined from the information available the core lengths (meters) are reported. The Gold, Silver and Tellurium analyses are reported in grams per tonne (g/t). The intervals listed in the table below are from the gold, silver and tellurium bearing vein and / or adjacent low grade mineralized host rock.
