Durango $DGO.ca $ATOXF Discovers Native Silver in Drill Core at Windfall Lake $BTR.ca $OSK.ca

Posted by AGORACOM at 8:08 AM on Thursday, March 11th, 2021

Durango Resources Inc. (TSXV:DGO) (Frankfurt:86A1) (OTC:ATOXF), (the “Company” or “Durango”) reports that recent drilling on its wholly owned Trove Property at Windfall Lake, Québec has intersected visible (“native”) silver in its latest drill hole.

The drill hole was completed on the northern portion of the Trove Property and was targeted to test a magnetic and Induced Polarization (“IP”) anomaly in the area. The hole was drilled sub-perpendicular to the Rouleau fault which continues onward to the Gladiator deposit of neighbouring Bonterra Resources Inc. (TSX-BTR) and is where the Windfall Lake structure converges.

Trove Property drill hole location outline

“Native silver” is composed of atoms from a single element of Ag (silver). Silver is usually associated with gold, copper and sulphides. Native silver is usually found in hydrothermal systems developed around felsic to intermediate magma. The presence of native silver is an indicator of a last phase of hydrothermal solution precipitation after K-feldspar, pyrite and gold. Native silver is generally found bordering important magmatic-hydrothermal systems.

Durango’s latest diamond drill hole intersected 9 meters of orogenic styles of mineralization in a shear zone which contained native silver identified at multiple depths including 285 and 288 meters below surface. Overall observations of the drill core included multiple shear and breccia zones, silica-sericite-carbonate-tourmaline-epidote alteration, mineralized quartz veins, and mineralized felsic dikes in contact with volcanic units.

General mineralization consisted of disseminated pyrite and stringers, sphalerite and pyrrhotite associated with shear and alteration zones. The presence of visible silver is an indication that the current drilling is near of a hydrothermal system. Durango plans to continue drilling down dip to test the system.

Durango $DGO.ca $ATOXF Encounters Shallow Silver Mineralization from Prospecting Drilling on Trove Property $BTR.ca $OSK.ca

Posted by AGORACOM at 8:47 AM on Friday, February 26th, 2021

Durango Resources Inc. (TSXV:DGO) (Frankfurt-86A1) (OTC:ATOXF), (the “Company” or “Durango”) is pleased to report that recent drill results on its wholly owned Trove Property at Windfall Lake, Québec shows shallow silver mineralization on the Trove Property.

Since last fall, 3,735m have been drilled on the Trove Property, with an average depth of 287m. Initial results from our prospecting drill program, which ran from October – December 2020, confirmed shallow mineralization in silver and zinc. This mineralization is typical of the Windfall Lake area. In mid-January 2021, Durango’s exploration team arrived back on site as the cold weather allowed them full access to the high priority drill targets. Since the start of this year’s drill program, Durango has drilled approximately 1,600m on its high priority targets on the Trove Property.

Some highlights of the orientation drilling from the fall program on the Trove Property include:

  • – Shallow silver intersection of up to 15.68 g/t Ag over one meter in drill hole DGT20-3 which was completed in the northeast of the Trove Property; – Shallow zinc intersection of up to 1.5% Zn over one meter in drill hole DGT20-3 which was completed on the northeast portion of the Trove Property; – Shallow silver intersection of up to 4.82 g/t Ag over one meter in drill hole DGT20-4 which was completed on the northeast portion of the Trove Property; and – Shallow silver intersection of up to 5.18 g/t Ag over one meter in drill hole DGT20-5.

Drill hole DGT20-3 was completed on the northeast portion of the Trove Property, assaying shallow intersections of up to 15.68 g/t Ag, 1.5% Zn with mineralization over 9 meters. Drill hole DGT20-4 also assayed up to 4.8 g/t Ag along the Barry fault.

Durango $DGO.ca Provides Windfall Lake Drilling Update $BTR.ca $OSK.ca

Posted by AGORACOM at 8:58 AM on Thursday, February 18th, 2021
  • 3,400m drilled on the Trove Property over 12 holes.
  • Encountered mineralization 200 meters below surface and at 300m
  • Durango drilled three scout holes on the East Barry Property totaling 1,969 meters
  • 2,000 samples are pending assay results at multiple labs for both the Trove and East Barry properties.

Durango Resources Inc.(TSXV:DGO) (Frankfurt-86A1) (OTC:ATOXF), (the “Company” or “Durango”) announces that the drilling campaign on its wholly owned Trove and East Barry Properties at Windfall Lake is still underway.

Trove Property

Currently, Durango is drilling holes on the northern portion of the Trove Property which was inaccessible until late 2020 due to late cold weather conditions. Approximately 3,400 meters has been drilled on the Trove Property in 2020 and 2021 over 12 holes. The Trove exploration program was designed to test the high priority Induced Polarization (“IP”) anomalies in the northern section of the Trove Property. So far, the majority of the mineralized sections were encountered within 200 meters below surface, with some exceptions encountering mineralization at depths of 300m and more.

East Barry Property

In January, Durango drilled three scout holes on the East Barry Property totaling 1,969 meters to try to determine the location of the felsic dykes in intrusive pluton. The scout holes enabled Durango to derive structural and lithological data on the East Barry and to test till anomaly targets which were previously inaccessible.

More than 2,000 samples are pending assay results at multiple labs for both the Trove and East Barry properties. Durango has encountered further lab delays due to a Covid-19 breakout at one of the processing facilities earlier this month, so the Company has secured additional labs to help alleviate the turnaround time and assay delays. Durango’s exploration and drill teams have not been exposed and continue to remain safe and healthy at the camp.

Lomiko Metals Inc. (“Lomiko”) (TSX-V: LMR, OTC: LMRMF, FSE: DH8C) is focused on the exploration and development of flake graphite in Quebec for the new green economy.  Lomiko has been monitoring emerging legislation aimed at reducing North American dependence on Chinese supply of graphite and other electric vehicle battery materials.  The US Geological Society 2020 report indicates that 100% of graphite anodes are currently imported to the United States as there are no domestic graphite mines able to produce the material used in Electric Vehicles.

Nomination of Jennifer Granholm as Secretary of Energy

Jennifer Granholm born in Vancouver, B.C., is Joe Biden’s nominee to head the US Department of Energy (DOE). The DOE is responsible for developing and implement clean technologies needed to reach Biden’s fossil fuel reduction targets. Ms. Granholm is passionately committed to decarbonizing the economy.  Combined with a large budget economic plan, there is a clear indication that change to clean energy is the order of the day.

Biden aims to hit net-zero emissions by 2050 which is a goal shared by the Trudeau federal government in Canada and builds upon the Canada-US supply strategy agreement. Biden is well-regarded by the Canadian government on issues of mining and green energy.  In January 2020, Canada and the U.S. announced they have finalized the Canada–U.S. Joint Action Plan on Critical Minerals Collaboration, advancing mutual interest in securing supply chains for the critical minerals needed for important manufacturing sectors, including communication, aerospace, defense, and clean technology.

  • Durango has received drill permits for the East Barry claim block to test high priority targets
  • Drilling is scheduled to begin on January 11th with two exploration holes on the East Barry Property budgeted for depths of approximately 750m each.

Durango Resources Inc.(TSXV-DGO) (Frankfurt-86A1) (OTC:ATOXF), (the “Company” or “Durango”) is pleased to announce that further to the news release of December 18, 2020, the drill and team from Faubert & Fils Inc. has arrived on site on its wholly owned East Barry property at Windfall Lake, Québec.

East Barry Property

Further to the news release of November 19, 2020, Durango has received drill permits for the East Barry claim block to test high priority targets coincident with high till anomalies of up to 2.19 g/t gold and pristine gold grains in till trend.  Now that weather conditions are favourable for access, a winter road has recently been built and a drill is on site at the East Barry Property. The drilling is scheduled to begin on January 11th with two exploration holes on the East Barry Property budgeted for depths of approximately 750m each.

Trove Property

To date, 2,100m has been drilled over nine holes on the Trove Property at an average depth of 233m.  Drilling on the Trove Property stopped before Christmas and Durango’s exploration crew has not been back to Windfall Lake yet in 2021 due to the Québec government Covid-19 restrictions. The Association de l’exploration Miniere du Québec (“AEMQ”) announced on January 6, 2021 that the government has made the decision to maintain mining activities, allowing exploration to continue in Québec.

Durango $DGO.ca Engages Additional Drill Company for Windfall Lake $OSK.ca $BTR.ca $SII.ca $TLG.ca

Posted by AGORACOM at 9:30 AM on Friday, December 18th, 2020

Vancouver, BC – TheNewswire – December 18, 2020 – Durango Resources Inc. (TSXV:DGO) (Frankfurt-86A1) (OT C :ATOXF), (the “ Company ” or “ Durango ”) is pleased to announce it has engaged an additional drill company for its exploration program on its wholly owned properties at Windfall Lake, Québec .

East Barry Property

Further to the news release of November 19, 2020, Durango has received drill permits for the East Barry claim block to test high priority targets coincident with high till anomalies of up to 2.19 g/t gold and pristine gold grains in till trend.  Now that weather conditions are favourable for preparing access, a drill has been commissioned to test a geophysical anomaly which also coincides with an artificial intelligence (“ AI ”) target. The Company has hired Faubert & Fils from Val d’Or, Québec, to complete several initial exploration drill holes on its East Barry Property.

Trove Property

To date, 1,700m has been drilled in eight holes on the Trove Property at an average depth of 213m.  Drilling is still continuing at the Trove Property with the drilling crew working on hole #9. As noted previously, the objective of the drill campaign is to test IP anomalies derived from previous exploration work.

The main lithologies observed in the drill holes are represented by mafic to intermediate volcanics, metasediments and felsic intrusives crosscut by quartz feldspar porphyry (“ QFP ”) and felsic dikes containing disseminated to semi-massive sulphides. Molybdenite, chalcopyrite and silver indicator alterations were also observed. The lithological contacts are marked by chlorite-epidote-carbonate alterations containing centimetric to decimetric mineralized quartz veins. The labs continue to be delayed and backed up due to extremely high quantities of samples they are receiving from multiple exploration companies and a shortage of personnel.

Durango’s high priority targets remain undrilled due the land condition caused by unseasonably warm weather, which has prevented the freezing required for access to the drill hole locations. Durango has 20 high priority holes planned for drilling on the Trove Property, between 200 and 800 meters deep, when the ground is sufficiently frozen to permit drill access.

Marcy Kiesman, CEO of Durango, stated, “The unseasonably warm weather has been challenging for our inaugural drill campaign on the Trove Property. We have completed initial drilling which will help our exploration team understand the local geology and structure in the area. As the weather in the area has recently become seasonably cold, we expect that our high priority targets will be drilled early in January. We are drilling in one of the best regions in Canada to find gold, we are fully financed and will continue to drill into 2021. We anticipate an exciting year ahead for Durango and our shareholders.”

The technical contents of this press release were approved by George Yordanov, professional geologist, an Independent Qualified Person as defined by National Instrument 43-101. The Trove Property has not yet been subject to an NI-43-101 report.

Trove Property, Québec

Durango owns 100% interest in the Trove claims, which are surrounded by Osisko Mining Inc. (TSX-OSK), in the Windfall Lake area between Val d’Or and Chibougamau, Québec. The 1,185 hectare property is compelling due to the coincidence of gold found in tills coinciding with magnetic highs, several Induced Polarization anomalies and two faults crosscutting the property.  The fault systems north and south of the Trove, control gold mineralization elsewhere, indicating the Trove has excellent exploration potential. Durango received all the final drill permits for the Trove property in September 2019 and is currently undertaking its inaugural drill program.

East Barry Property, Québec

Durango owns 100% interest in the East Barry claims which run parallel to Trove claims. The East Barry block is over 7,740 hectares in size and borders the eastern perimeter of Osisko’s holdings and the southern perimeter of Bonterra’s holdings and is less than 4km south of the Gladiator deposit. The East Barry claims host a gold trend which covers approximately 10km in length and is subparallel to the main Barry Fault held by Osisko Mining. In 2018, a till sampling program was conducted by Durango and one of the till samples returned forty-two (42) pristine gold grains with reported gold values of 2.184 g/t Au.  A high count of pristine gold grains indicates that the gold has travelled a very short distance from its source. The East Barry block underwent an Induced Polarization (“ IP ”) survey in 2018 which identified a high priority target coincident with the high count of pristine gold grains.
