Production Improvement

The Company has been working with its contract manufacturing partners to enhance the production design of BioCloud with a specific emphasis on reducing the number of circuit boards. The number of circuit boards has been reduced to 5 starting from an initial prototype design of 11. These improvements are considered part of the normal course of moving from prototype to scale production. The reduction in circuit boards will also provide an opportunity to lower manufacturing costs in the future.

Update to Distribution Model

The Company currently has 11 total distributors and 3 sales referral agreements. The sales referral agreements relate to the China and Middle East markets. The sales referral agreements are non-exclusive in nature. The Company has chosen to limit the number of Canadian non-exclusive distribution agreements, from its original plans, given its view that the Canadian market has sufficient distributors in place. The Company is currently negotiating multiple new potential agreements for the USA and the Middle East on a non-exclusive basis.

TORONTO, Feb. 23, 2021 — POET Technologies Inc. (“POET” or the “Company”) (TSX Venture: PTK; OTCQX: POETF), the designer and developer of the POET Optical Interposer and Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs) for the data center and tele-communication markets, announced that it has extended the Optical Interposer into new applications and markets with a fully-integrated, multiplexed light-source for optical computing chipsets and sensing applications, named “ LightBar-C™”.

The POET Optical Interposer platform has been extended and validated with the intrinsic features to support Conventional Band (“C-band”) and Long Band (“L-band”) lasers that produce light in a frequency range of 1530nm to 1625nm. POET has designed, developed and demonstrated cooled lasers for the Optical Interposer platform with up to 90mW of power operating at room temperature. In addition, the Company has designed and demonstrated a Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexer (“DWDM”) embedded in the Optical Interposer waveguide layer that allows channel spacings of 200GHz, providing the high density and broadband requirements needed for high-performance optical sensing and Co-Packaged Optics (CPO) applications, such as optical computing chipsets for Artificial Intelligence.

(“ GameOn ”) has increased the size of its previously announced non-brokered private placement (the “ SR Offering ”) of subscription receipts of GameOn (“ Subscription Receipts ”) from $1.5 million to $3 million due to strong investor demand.

Each Subscription Receipt will be sold at a price of $0.35 and be governed by a subscription receipt agreement to be entered between GameOn and an escrow agent to be appointed by GameOn on or prior to the closing date of the SR Offering (the “ SR Agreement ”).

In accordance with the SR Agreement, each Subscription Receipt shall be automatically converted without any further action on the part of the holder thereof into one unit of GameOn (each, a “ SR Unit ”) upon the satisfaction of certain escrow release conditions (the “ Escrow Release Conditions ”) including the receipt of conditional approval by GameOn with respect to the listing of the common shares of GameOn (“ GameOn Shares ”) on the Canadian Securities Exchange (the “ CSE ”) and the receipt of a final prospectus in the Province of British Columbia in connection with the final prospectus of GameOn.

Manitou Gold Inc. (TSX-V: MTU) (the “Company” or “Manitou”) today provided an update on its ongoing 10,000 m drill program along the southeastern segment of the Baltimore deformation zone (the “BDZ”). Additionally, the Company has commenced a 300 line kilometer ground geophysical survey covering an additional 10 kilometers of strike length along the BDZ, which will be the focus of continued drilling.

The BDZ is an emerging crustal scale structural corridor that is the extension of the prolific Goudreau-Localsh deformation zone (the “GLDZ”), which hosts the majority of gold deposits in the northeastern Michipicoten greenstone belt. The BDZ is centrally located in the eastern half of the Company’s land package, which covers nearly 350 square kilometers.

Highlights:

  • The BDZ represents a crustal-scale fault system that is the key target for orogenic gold mineralization and the extension of the Goudreau-Localsh deformation zone, which hosts two multi-million ounce gold deposits.
  • The GLDZ has been tested with more than 1,000,000 m of diamond drilling for gold, whereas the BDZ remains largely unexplored with only 4,400 m of historic drilling for gold:

○ The cumulative drilling along GLDZ resulted in the discovery of 6 orebodies to date;

○ Recent results with intercepts of up to 15 m grading 1.5 g/t Au, including 5.3 m at 2.7 g/t Au in hole MTU-20-56 demonstrate that the BDZ is a fertile corridor for orogenic gold deposits;

○ The BDZ on Manitou ground covers an equivalent length and area as the GLDZ and provides abundant opportunity for discovery of multiple gold deposits.

  • The “Main Shear”, which dominates the central corridor of the BDZ and hosts the Stover zone, has been confirmed by drilling to be continuous for over 2 km:

○ Two step-out holes located approximately 600 m west and 1,200 m east along strike of hole MTU-20-49 (39.9 m at 0.5 g/t) display zones of deformation, alteration and mineralization similar to that of the Stover zone (assay results pending);

○ The Stover zone remains open in all directions; additional drilling to test for higher grade shoots is ongoing. The target mineralized zone has been intersected in three recent drill holes, for which assays are pending;

○ A second diamond drill is testing new targets along a 4 km portion of the BDZ.
